Very nice hotel…enjoyed the rooftop pool to hang out. Very good location near everything. Two day stay was enough in the Walled Area, as too many people pushing products or services every block you turn. Basically, very very touristy. Getsemani area was an easy walk from hotel and more laid back.

If I could rate this hotel 6 out of 5 stars i would. Awesome on every level. The location is ideal - it’s a small hotel with not a lot of guests when we were there - so very private. We have a very nice roof-top pool (rare here) which we had all to ourselves. The breakfast options were excellent and Natalia was almost like our private chef - always willing to help, great suggestions and made a point of learning our names. The location is just steps away from great bars and restaurants - we especially like Buena Vida - just down the block. However we highly recommend getting the upgraded room - i think it’s the only one with a balcony - which we enjoyed using. Can’t go wrong this this hotel!

The hotel is very conveniently situated and the staff was very welcoming upon arrival. However, they weren't very helpful when I returned a reached out only 2 hours after checking out about picking up the phone charger I had left behind in the room.

Fantastically friendly & professional staff

Rooms are spacious and not that many (so it never feels overpopulated). The old palace it's built in preserves its grandeur. There is something to say about the upkeep of some of the common areas - they could do with an uplifting touch. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. They are professional, super friendly and go beyond the call of duty to help you have the best possible stay in the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a small quaint hotel. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. Our stay was in early November and it is safe to say that this is not high peak season. We found ourselves to be the only guests at this hotel for most of our stay. With this in mind, we thought it was strange that we were housed in one of the "back rooms". The back rooms only have one window and it faces the interior corridor, making it dark and difficult to tell what time it was in the morning. Other than that - the "back rooms" are very comfortable. As it happened, we experienced intense rain storms and a the bathroom ceiling began to leak. After some negotiating, we were able to move into a "front" room that had a proper daylight window, which according to the Expedia room rating was the same category of room (Deluxe Double Room) that we had paid for. Considering the duration (8 days) that we were there in a mostly empty hotel, we should have been assigned this room from the beginning. The rooftop patio is great. The breakfast buffet was mostly not provided during our stay as we were (on most days) the only guests; instead, we had to order breakfast from a menu. The location of this hotel is really good. We had a very enjoyable stay!

This is a really nice hotel. The building has recently been completely refurbished. In fact, one of the employees told me I was their first customer! I was hesitant at first to choose this hotel because there were no reviews of it on Expedia since it was a brand new listing. It turned out to be a great choice and at a great promotional price. Everything from the reception area, dining area, and all amenities, including tiles and bathroom fixtures are new and high quality, while retaining a stylish old-world Colombian ambience. The shower is strong with plenty of hot water, which is not so common in this region. Even the king mattress was as good as you'll find anywhere, top end for sure. The staff here is super attentive, professional, and courteous. They do everything they can to address your needs and make you feel at home. Breakfast is free, excellent, and customized to what you want, whether it's American style, regional food, or a mix, with regional fruits and fresh squeezed juices. When you enter the dining room in the morning, you'll find a table reserved with your name tag on it. In the lobby there is always fresh fruit flavored water that changes daily, and there is as pleasant sitting area by a garden. The location is great and secure. Really the entire walled city is safe and secure for walking day and night. Everything is pretty much within a 5 - 7 minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants all around from $ to $$$ and many have great live Latin music at night.

This hotel in Cartagena is a great place to stay for a few nights. It’s conveniently located near everything you need. I’d definitely stay there again. The pool area was nice, but no one seemed to be using it. A few birds were inside the pool when we arrived but left as they got scared. Maybe the bar and music could be improved, but there wasn’t much of a problem since there weren’t many people in the pool so I understand why they do not pay much attention. Overall, I’d stay there again.

Gran Hotel para Adultos!

Gran experiencia, la ubicación del hotel es excelente, tranquilo, silencioso, seguro y a unos pasos de la acción. Sin duda lo mejor su desayuno, que siempre estuvo atendido y supervisado por el señor Carlos, una persona educada, respetuosa, atenta y quien sin duda puso en alto el nombre del hotel y de Cartagena. Recomendaciones podrian tener opciones de almuerzos o comidas ya que solo ofrecen desayuno que muy bueno pero despues no hay nada mas tienes que salir del hotel para hasta un cafe general el hotel es pequeno pero muy bueno lo recomiendo esta muy centrico

Great stay in Cartagena.

Beautiful hotel. Very well located (nearby everything). Quiet neighbourhood. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Beds are very confortable. Great breakfast with a lot of choices from the "a la carte" menu (which is included with the price of the room). Great service all around. On the downside, the rooftop pool needed some cleaning. The cushions on the lounge chairs need to be replaced, and the towels need to be updated. Overall, very pleased with this hotel. Would recommend without hesitation.

At a hotel of this quality some items or in short supply: towels, lighting in the room, coffee pods for the coffee maker. Bar soap. Air conditioning works great but it was almost impossible to adjust the thermostat in our room, which needs replacement. The rooftop pool is an oasis of calm and I a city buzzing with tourists. It should be noted that in this humidity, a towel never dries after use. Breakfast buffet is plentiful. Vooked items are mostly fried.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. The staff was very friendly.When me and my brother overslept after being awake 48 hours prior Luz not only called us a cab but she also communicated with tour staff and had them hold our boat for the day trip we planned. The location is also perfect it's 4 blocks from the Clock tower. The pool on the roof is amazing after a long day of walking. The security is very good as well if you didn't book a night you wasn't able to get in. At the end of the day I would recommend this hotel to everyone. And I'll definitely be going back in the future.

Great week end escapade

Very well located, a stone throw from Santa clara, plaza San Agustin in the Ciudad Amurallada. The rooms are ample, very well decorated, comfortable bed adn bathroom. The pool on the roof top is good. breakfast buffet is simple but good,. Overall the staff is very nice and serviceable, the hotel is a calm oasis in a busy area of the historical city, so exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely come back
