Beautiful property. Architecture and furniture are exactly as the pictures show. We had a very late check-in & they were on hand to help with luggage. Hotel is a short drive from the airport. We only stayed one night, as we were leaving to Isla Barú. Staff was polite & friendly.
Breakfast on their patio.

Una buena opción muy cerca del centro histórico.

El hotel es una casa de las primeras décadas del siglo XX. El estado general de la edificación es bueno y fue remodelada para prestar el servicio de hotel. En términos generales es una buena opción pero el mobiliario ya requiere mantenimiento o reemplazo. La lencería y almohadas no son de buena calidad. Las opciones para el desayuno son muy limitadas con ingredientes de calidad muy básica. El personal es muy amable y trata de hacer lo mejor dadas las limitaciones.

Our stay was short but incredibly sweet. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were so welcoming to us and all the guests. We also met Edgar and Claudia, who were both wonderfully attentive. It happened to be Claudia’s birthday weekend, and we were lucky enough to celebrate with her! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. There’s something truly unique and special about this place—it already feels like my second home in Cartagena. Whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or planning a special occasion like a birthday, wedding, or private event, this is the perfect place to celebrate.

The property was lovely and felt very safe. It’s in a perfect, quiet location—just a 2-minute walk to the beach, and a local supermarket and pharmacy are conveniently within walking distance. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the main central area, which is an ideal spot to be in. The property was impeccably clean, with staff available around the clock to ensure safety by controlling access through the gate. This added a reassuring sense of security, as staff would assist with entering and exiting. The rooms were comfortable, though they didn’t have a fridge, which was a minor detail for us. Overall, I’d highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning!

Quarto grande e confortavel, ausencia de um frigobar para um calor escaldante, roupas de cama limpa, porem ficaram uma semana sem troca, somente arrumaram a cama, toalha de banho também uma semana sem troca, cafe da manhã sempre a mesma coisa fruta ja picada, cafe, leite, suco, um cubo de manteiga e geleia e pra comer 2 fatias de pão de forma tostado e 3 poções de ovos (mexido, frito ou omelete) achamos ruim o cafe da manhã pelo preço cobrado.

I had a very nice time at Casa Bustamante! The staff are very kind and generous, offer lots of local suggestions. Breakfast in the morning was good too. Walking into the historic town is pretty quick, although you are out of town. I only stayed for a short period, two days though. I think the lack of fridge (mostly just because how fricken hot it is in Cartagena) and food options nearby (there are some solid restaurants up the street, but the nice restaurants are in town) would probably be inconvenient had I stayed there more than 3 days. That said, the rooms were overall very cozy, clean and well put together. Would definitely stay again!

Super bien ubicado si quiere estar cerca a la ciudad amurallada- es walking distance. Hicimos el agendamiento por 2 noches y luego extendimos por 1 noche mas. Sin embargo, el Aire acondicionado en la habitacion disponible no funcionaba, y no nos informaron sino hasta que ya nos pasamos, nos ofrecieron ir a un hotel cercano y fue una perdida de tiempo porque no se parece en nada. Por lo cual debimos buscar otro hotel de ultimo minuto, sin recomendacion alguna por parte del hotel. Lo bueno: el lugar es limpio, muy privado te sentiras como en casa y la atencion es buena. El personal de limpieza y recepcion muy amables. Por mejorar: 1.Cuidar mas al cliente, ante contratiempos ser mas amables. 2. El desayuno, tienen opcion solo de huevos, por dos dias esta bien pero les recomendaria que ofrezcan variedad. 3. Tener TV nacional, no todos queremos ver DirecTV

Belle habitation coloniale avec la piscine.

Hôtel type colonial, bien situé du centre historique de Carthagène. Cela mériterait plus de choix pour le petit déjeuner. La piscine très agréable, il faudrait proposer dans l’équipement, des serviettes de couleur pour la piscine.

Unpretentious Historical Hotel, Great Value

Clean and comfortable historical boutique hotel within a short walk to the walled city and beaches. If you like your hotel to be charming, unpretentious and attentive to guests, this is the place. Wonderful breakfast on a lovely outdoor veranda included in the price each day. It is not a family kind of hotel. It is more the kind of hotel where you and another couple linger at breakfast for a couple of hours in deep conversation before heading out to your adventures. The staff could not be nicer.
