Food is delicious and the presentation and small surprises are delightful. Walking Distance to shopping. Spa is a treat. We just swam but it was so relaxing and warm. Great facility. "This is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. It’s a 300 year old Spanish hacienda. Beautiful. Well maintained grounds. Extremely helpful staff. Wonderful, daily breakfast included. All of this said, this is an old building. Do not expect modern amenities like an in room tv, coffee maker or fridge. Do expect an in room wood burning fireplace that the staff lights for you every night. Do expect a very very cool, old bar. Do not miss their opening night drink including a 3 song performance by an indigenous band. Do expect an excellent in house restaurant with not crazy prices. I just really, really love this place!"

"We had a beautiful time at Cananvalle. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It is a place quite a bit outside Ibarra and without transport you have to rely on taxis to get around. Saying that the local taxis are cheap and safe. "
