The Fire Island Lighthouse is a visible landmark on the Great South Bay, in southern Suffolk County, New York on the western end of Fire Island, a barrier island off the southern coast of Long Island
This is Captree State Park in Long Island New York. I’ve come here several times over the years to go fishing and crabbing. Loaded with work, It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve had the opportunity to add to this personal project and I was itching to go out and shoot again. So I set out for this location, 20 minutes from home. The cloud formations were spectacular and I could envision an epic sunset shot. I had planned to arrive a few hours early, set up my composition and wait. However, as soon as I arrived, I was shocked at the amount of mosquitoes swarming around. It was biblical! I had no more than 5 minutes to get this image and I just had to leave. I originally did not want to post this image as I knew it was not my best work. It was not the shot I wanted to get. But then I remembered, I also shoot and post to remind me of what was going on in the moment. So here it is.

A beautiful place to enjoy the water. There are charter boats that leave from this location and travel up and down Long Island Sound. There are also docks where locals and visitors alike can go fishing or to catch some crabs. #details

As we were walking on the boardwalk towards to lighthouse of Fire Island , the most attractive views were different kind of natural bushes along both sides of the boardwalk. It was so hot at midday, and sunlight was bright .everything was gorgeous. I couldn't help take pictures of it.
