Lovely hotel, very helpful and friendly staff Nearby restaurant Lo Sfizio very good. Only negative is the steep walk from the center - although arrangements can be made for the luggage.

This villa is beautiful and clean. However, no one tells you that to get this villa is such a hassle. NO taxi service to hotel. You need to walk uphill/downhill the equivalent of 5 staircases to get to square or to get a taxi. People stop to catch their breath. Be sure you have a map of where hotel is when arriving in Capri, it's a maze. It took me over two hours to get to villa and 60 euros. How does the hotel expect us to make prior arrangements for baggage pickup? We don't know how to call the villa in Capri. The bags get picked up but not the guests. Taxis are very few. I highly recommend you getting a hotel that will provide provide pick up and delivery to the ferry. Taxi line over an hours wait in the hot sun. Terrible! There are tooooo many people traveling today. It wasn't like this 20 years ago. The villa staff was very helpful again the tv would cut out, why?? The dirty red carpet in the hallway needs to be replaced!! Breakfast was very good. Wifi does not extend to the pool area, only in the room. So I was unable to listen to jazz while sitting at pool. Need a few improvements.

Wonderful place to stay for our 4-dayvisit to Capri. The staff were very helpful and friendly; rooms are very clean and comfortable; lovely pool for cooling off in the afternoon; and they make a very good Compari spritz. The property gave us easy access to all of the attractions in Capri, and was the perfect.spot to return to at the end of the day. It is just a short word walk from the piazza, and an equally pleasant walk from sites, such as Villa lysis, or the ruins of Villa Jovis. Equally important, it is virtually next-door to one of our favorite restaurants on the island. We certainly will return soon.

Our overall stay at a Villa Sarah was lovely. The rooms were nice, and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony which was great. The grounds and garden are beautiful as well. Our only complaint was that they did not advise us of the luggage service, and we ended up, dragging our suitcases up a very steep hill. They also did not tell us that we had to set up the service a full day in advance going down when we left. The communication about this could have been better as people with mobility issues would have trouble getting up the hill or going up the stairs to this location. The woman at the front desk insisted that the information came with my confirmation, I checked again, there was no information about where and how to use the luggage service or even directions to the hotel. The communication was a small irritant in an overall great stay at the hotel. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

This hotel is a charming and welcoming property truly off the beaten path on the paradise island where tourists can be a bit overwhelming of late. For us, the highly professional and engaging staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We had a number of things we wanted to accomplish and Giuseppe who was on the desk during the day basically checked off all of those boxes for us. A couple of "pro tips" if you are looking to stay here. It can be difficult to find. By all means, use the service which will cart your bags up the steep hills to the hotel. If you have to carry them up yourself, you'll have a workout that you didn't expect or want. The breakfast is delicious and the pool is beautiful. A nearby restaurant, Lo Sfizio, just a couple of minutes away, is also a top recommendation, frequented by locals. If you want a genuine Italian experience, you'll do well by staying at Hotel Villa Sarah.

Great hotel, great service. A bit of a walk uphill, but worth it. More serene. Not as much part of the hustle and bustle of Capri city center, which made the hotel even better. Also, it was next to an amazing restaurant.

We've been returning as a group of friends for the fifth year in row now as the hotel is decently priced during the high season on Capri and convinces with the feeling of a familiar place - mostly down to the friendly family who own and run it. It is airy and bright with a good-sized pool and a luscious garden. The rooms are all tiled with the typical beautiful tiles of the island and have a sufficient size. If there was anything to lament about it would be the water pressure and the condition of the shower equipment in general, but this really is just a tiny downside.

Fantastic family run hotel in a slightly off the tourist trap area but a till really close to awesome restaurants and the town square. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again for sure. The staff was warm and very helpful. Very nice breakfast also. Five stars from me all the way.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is outdated however it is incredibly priced for being in the heart of Capri. I would stay again due to value and fantastic location. It would have been nice to know about the lack of access by taxi or car, and that there’s a porter service available. Also not a great place to stay if you have any issues walking up or down steep inclines. However it is excellent if you are active and want easy access to great hiking paths and challenging runs - no need for a gym! I will definitely stay again, knowing that the rooms are small and outdated, very bare bones. But clean.

We heard about this hotel from a national newspaper feature on the best places to stay on Capri and we were not disappointed. The hotel is very well appointed and the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in low season and got a free upgrade to a sea view room which made our stay on the island all the more special.

Elegant and restful
Villa Sarah is a beautiful property that is conveniently located close enough to attractions but far enough to provide a quiet, peaceful respite from the hustle of the tourist areas. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and everything was in excellent working order. If you decided to stay here and have much luggage, consider opting for the luggage transport service (the hotel can arrange for you) because the trip from the port to the hotel is challenging with a heavy suitcase.

I love Capri!
Amazing staff, so so helpful, they went out of the way to phone the blue grotto and ferry companies and reserve amazing restaurants for us. I can't recommend the staff enough. The hotel is at a top of a walkway for for elderly would be good idea to ask them to arrange to have your bags collected and maybe someone to pick you up. Perfect staff, lovely rooms, good breckfast.

Fine hotel on the beautiful island of Capri
We enjoyed our stay on the beautiful island of Capri. The family that owns this hotel is charming and kind and work hard to provide an excellent experience. The pool is refreshing and extremely clean. I was appreciative of the personal attention of Guissepe. He organized a luggage service and ferry tickets, made local dinner recommendations, allowed us to make document copies that we needed. The one thing that we had not anticipated was the uphill climb to get to the hotel. It would be hard for those with back, knee, or hip issues to climb the steep and narrow "road" to get to the hotel. The locals do it easily. Still, I would have appreciated the chance to go by taxi, especially in August in 94 degree heat with high humidity. I suppose it is part of the charm. It definitely discouraged us from leaving the hotel to explore the wonderful main square, when we had a few hours to spare. This would be true of any hotel in that area. Still, please know that climb this is part of the package and if you are in less than excellent shape, you may do better at a hotel that is closer to the main square or taxi accessible. I loved my stay, on the whole, And would recommend the Hotel Villa Sarah.

This hotel is ok at best. It is in a difficult location...you have to be ready to do s lot of uphill walking. Don't even think about doing it with luggage...must pay the porter to take it up for you.

Wonderful hotel in good location
We loved our stay at Villa Sarah! Warning it's a bit of a hike uphill (about 5 minutes), but you are so close to the center of town with all the shops and restaurants. I recommend giving your bags to porters when you arrive in Capri and let them drop at the hotel. The front desk staff was so lovely and gave us great recommendations for our stay. The room was extremely spacious and clean and the bathroom modern and clean as well. We had an early ferry the morning we left and the night doorman had told the morning doorman in advance and they had coffee waiting for us when it was time to leave. We hadn't asked for it but it was such a kind gesture. I would love to come back and stay again!

The villa is clean and very well presented. It's at the very top of Capri so it took a while from the main square to get up to. The room was decent size and clean, and the staff very helpful. We had to leave early in the morning for a ferry which meant that we had to go outside of the standard breakfast hours, the staff allowed us to have breakfast which was amazing. Wifi reception was bad in the room but better in the corridor. Overall neat villa to stay in, would probably pick one closer to the main square.

Peace in Capri
Two quiet nights on Capri after a very busy Naples. Hotel in car free part of town. Dual aspect room with large terrace with views up to Villa Jovis and down to coast. Family owned and run with excellent service and warm welcome. Pity pool was closed but still early season.
