Free parking is a bonus. It would be nice if breakfast were included. Reservations required for lunch and dinner. Make sure you are aware of Italian dining hours because food options become very limited between meals. I had to drive 30 mins to find a food option that was open (in portoferraio). The “private” beach is actually a small part of a public beach and you have to pay to use the chairs or umbrellas. Hotel is a stop over for tour buses during the day so there are people at the facility who don’t seem to be staying there. Hotel is primarily for German travelers so staff and things like restaurant menu are translated in German and things get lost in translation in English. Hotel doesn’t look like it’s been updated since the 90s. I don’t think they fully clean rooms if it doesn’t appear a bed was slept in because my room had a “double” (two singles pushed together) and a single. The single had dust, hair and dirt on it, thankfully did not need to be used. Lots of mosquitos in the room and I never opened the balcony so not sure how they got in there but was eaten alive.

This hotel is somewhat overpriced. It is an older hotel which is evident from the building and the room we slept in that it requires some renovating. Otherwise it was a fine pool and location. The breakfast was clearly a money maker. The products were cheap highly processed produce from cartons such as the juice, eggs and even some of the fruit. The island literally has fresh melons growing in the countryside, but the staff saw fit to just serve canned fruit. This is supposed to be a four star hotel?
