Had someone trying to get into my room and bang on my door. Shortly after got a call from staff that someone complained about my parking in front of my own room, so she gave them my room number to ask me to move it. Not sure who in their right mind would even think of doing that.

Upon arrival to the property, no one was on premises however they did send us a code for the room. Secondly the hot water was not working properly. It was scalding, hot and cold, scalding hot and cold. I did report it to the manager the following day.. and finally the television in the room did not work at all according to the manager they’re getting ready to replace it so even though the day was OK it left a lot to be desired for the price of $114 a night.

Stay was quiet and safe. In the morning, walked across the parking lot for breakfast. Snacks in the room were a nice, welcoming touch. Easy check in and out. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It was a fine little motel. Super old and run down. There are cracks everywhere and a shower wouldn’t ever touch. My biggest issue is that they charge the same as a hotel like holiday inn with indoor access, good bathrooms, and free breakfast. You can’t charge hotel prices while being a motel with zero amenities. There wasn’t even an open front office.

It was a cute little place to stay for the night after watching a high-school football game. They communicated well with us and we didn't have any issue. Rooms were clean.

I love the improvements the new owners have made at the Smokey Bear Motel. I stay there often. The rooms are clean and they are working to remodel the older rooms. The cooling and heating systems work very well, AND I wish I could take the mattress home with me! Very comfortable.
