"I rarely write hotel reviews, but this place truly deserves one. It’s honestly one of the few hotels I have ever appreciated this much. First of all, the cleanliness is absolutely impeccable. Everything is perfectly maintained and spotless. The style and overall atmosphere are what make the place even more special: the vibe is incredibly warm, welcoming, and almost feels like being at home. The staff is wonderful — always kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything. They speak excellent English, and we were even lucky enough to find staff members who spoke Italian, so communication was effortless. I mentioned that I have a gluten intolerance, and they immediately made sure I had great options both at breakfast and during their afternoon tea time. The gluten-free cakes were incredible: soft, creamy, perfectly balanced — I would have never guessed they were gluten-free. They also had tapioca and pão de queijo, which were delicious. The breakfast buffet is definitely on a much higher level compared to many others we tried in Brazil. Everything feels artisanal, fresh, and very high quality. Overall, a truly special place that makes you feel cared for and welcomed from the moment you arrive. I would absolutely come back."

"The room and location exceeded my expectations! Excellent air conditioning and water pressure in the shower. The beach and lively restaurants/bars are right across the road. I could hear the ocean from my room. The town center is just a 12-13 minute walk from the room. I will be staying here again in the future! Marcus the owner is very attentive and an excellent communicator. Silvana was cheery, welcoming and very helpful in helping me to get settled in when I first arrived. "

"A n 18th C building with great atmosphere and art of all kinds on the walls and floors. Smiling friendly staff who made us feel welcome. It’s in the heart of the old town with boulder cobbles making wheeling a suitcase challenging but the history and nearby Gold Road is worth the trek. "

"I received a WhatsApp message from the property on the day of my arrival, which has conveniently been deleted, stating that the property didn't have a room available. I didn't see the message until I arrived at the property, but it had asked me to go to another property that cost less, had a less ideal location, and lower reviews. At arrival, they then put my friend and I in a room with one bed that was tiny, *absolutely disgusting*, and was not in the main building. The manager, without prompting, offered to refund this night, which I politely accepted. The next day, we got moved to the correct room, but it did not have any hot water for a shower, so we got moved AGAIN, to another lower quality room without a balcony. One out of the two beds was rock hard so my friend and I ended up having to share a bed. Several days after my stay no refund was issued so I reached out to Hotels.com and the property denied the refund and deleted their WhatsApp message. I've never left a bad review or complained to any service provider before, but this was a terrible experience."
