Unfortunately, a bad experience. Our hotel room was in an unacceptable condition. Various issues including the closet doors, poor AC, drawers coming off, etc, etc. I was told that the hotel was going through remodeling. They offered a refund which they never did after two months of following up with them. Enough said. : (

Tru Blu!
Top notch service all around- front desk, restaurant and house keeping. Employees had team chemistry and it showed. A lot of the reviews which refer to the facilities being dated are unfairly harsh. The hotel is as good as they get in say Europe and has an excelent location close to the beach front and V&A.

Location is very good, however the rooms would require a lot of TLC!!! Pool area very dirty because of birds nesting on hotel roof near the pool.

House keeping is very lacking in standards! Didn’t clean my room properly leaving used cup on the table, not replacing new bath gel, removing our toothbrushes from the glass leaving them on the vanity top and lastly my nightmare..removing my face wash packet! The hotel manager in charge helped finally bringing me a replacement but it took more than an hour to sort I’m out as there was no housekeeping manager on duty! Having to check on at 5am didn’t help matter and I needed to have an early night!! I was totally aghast by the rubbish Housekeeping standard of service!!

Not bad, but could've been better.
We stayed at Radisson Blu Le Vendrome for our trip down for the Cape Town Cycle Tour. The location was perfect. Unfortunately everything else at the hotel seemed less than perfect.
The hotel is old and shows with wall paper peeling in areas. The aircon works at first but then decides to blow at any temperature it decides on. My wife and I were bitten badly by ticks. We did ask for clean sheets on the bed, but continued to get bites each night we slept.
The morning breakfast spread was great. Service was even better in the breakfast area, with very attentive service staff.
Room service was very slow. The food and drinks that arrived were great, no issues - just a timely process to get room service delivered.
Overall it wasn't bad, but could definitely have been better for a premium hotel.

A sleep not to be forgotten
Had too sleep in a so called king size bed which was just two beds pushed together leaving an uncomfortable space.

Work in progress
The hotel should be described as a work in progress. Many rooms are generally in need of updating, which appears to be happening, judging by the noise from the top floors. The staff are great, if somewhat down in numbers and the duty manager, Sadeek, went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. In a few years time this hotel should be firing on all cylinders.

Sviitti oli tilava mutta huonekalut rikkinäiset, likainen kokolattiamatto, parveke oli lintujen valtaama ja likainen. Kun soitti ”one point of service” numeroon mikään asia ei edennyt; pyykkiä ei haettu, vesipullon tulo kesti 6 päivää, lisäpeitto tuli kolmen soiton jälkeen. Aamiaishenkilökunta oli loistava! Seapoint is a nice area
Air-condition not working in our room. Reported it twice, but nothing was done, nor reported back. Lots of seagull outside our room that made a lot of noise, so impossible to keep the door or windows open at night.
The breakfast could have more options in spread, or more employees fill up when empty.

Property lacked maintenance. Broken drawers, cupboard has no doors, toilet seat loose. Hotel admin atrocious- messed up booking in every possible way. Staff friendly but never follow through on promises. Hotel transfer did not arrive to collect me from airport. Definitely never again!!!

Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious Breakfast and snacks. Room needed redecorating (which I believe is planned) a few small issues dealt with immediately. Very helpful and friendly tour guide.

Good Location
Good location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is currently being refurbished which it needs. Shuttle bus on the hour into waterfront. Great location if you like walks along the seafront. Beds extremely comfortable. Housekeeping very good.

Das Hotel hätte Moewennest heißen sollen. Rund um die Uhr Geschrei der Möwen,die unterhalb der Fenster auf dem Vordach des Hotels nisteten.Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Das Frühstück war ungenügend, es fehlte stets etwas, entweder dasToastbrot, Besteck, Kaese, Butter.Staendig war man auf der Suche. Obstauswahl war gut.Das Personal stets gut gelaunt und unbeeindruckt von den Widrigkeiten. Ich kann von einem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel nur abraten.
