Derwent House is a wonderful place to spend a few days in CT. Room was cozy, bed great, location close to Table Mountain and Kloof Street superb but best of all are the people who are helpful and provide great advice and recommendations where to go and what to see.

Stayed in the suite and the room is fabulous. Spacious, filled with light and very quiet. The staff, Tash, Lucas, Cia, and Patience were excellent. They are very helpful, professional and warm. The breakfast is exquisite and the hotel offer different special every morning.
The staff went out their way to make our 5 year anniversary special.
We stayed there 3 evenings. Luca, Tashe and team were lovely. Lots of recommendations for the city experience. Breakfast was fabulous and the rooms and quaintness of the Derwent house were top notch. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a home away from home in Cape Town.
An excellent small boutique hotel. All of the staff we met were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and really comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Lovely hotel with fabulous artwork everywhere. Personalized service 24/7. The staff was friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to add special touches. Turndown service was especially impressive. Good location: ubers from Derwent to most attractions were under $6 per trip. Highly recommend!
This hotel was a delight. The staff were lovely, the room very comfortable and in a brilliant position in Cape Town. The team were really helpful in planning our days, gave a great restaurant recommendation and made us feel very welcome.
Fantastic stay. Perfect location. Staff go out of there to make sure that you have the best possible holiday. Very homely welcoming atmosphere make it special.
Hotel is clean & comfortable. Good location for restaurants & bars which are downhill to the Main Street. Ample on street parking. Good choice of breakfast. Amazing view of Table Mountain from our room. The main call out is the staff - every member was so helpful, very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make your stay a memorable one.
Thank you to you all
Charming boutique hotel in a wonderful Cape Town neighborhood, the Gardens. The owners were extremely helpful suggesting restaurants and making reservations for us. We had an apartment unit with a full kitchen that was well-stocked I highly recommend.
Derwent house made everything right to make our honeymoon as enjoyable as possible. Never seen a hotel go the extra mile in the same way. Could actually never have imagined a hotel could have this level of service. Even when I ordered a breakfast item outside of the menu they 100% delivered and went the extra mile to decorate it beautifully and add some toppings. Also loved the 24/7 jacuzzi and the friendliness of everyone.
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were phenomenal! I did not feel safe walking around the area, but we used UBER and had no issues. I would stay again. They allowed us to stay in our room until we left for the airport in the late afternoon. That was a real perk!
The perfect Boutique hotel. It is in a great location, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the decor is perfect for Africa. The rooms are very clean and the included breakfast was perfect. The experience could not have been better. We will return when we next visit Cape Town.

WOW is how I would describe this property. Every staff member bent over backwards to make us feel at home. This was an experience I can not wait to redo. I will definitely stay here again.
Absolutely fabulous hotel - incredible service, superb room, great indoor & outdoor spaces and amazing breakfast. Complimentary tea, coffee and cake in the afternoon as well as well stocked honesty bar. I am struggling to think of a better place that we have stayed at around the world - it is the staff in particular that go the extra mile with everything that really differentiates this hotel from others. A truly 6 star experience. Thank you so so much - you are all superstars
From the moment you enter the beautifully decorated lounge area, you know this is your home away from home. The room isnt large, but well appointed. Staff is superb. Great restaurants nearby and we also we walked the 30 min. downtown( we are 72) took Uber everywhere else.
Breakfast is fabulous and the little touches of having cake or cookies around in the afternoon was an added bonus. There are steps to all the rooms that I could see so if this is a problem, check. Otherwise, this is the place to stay.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough! Beautiful rooms and property in a charming neighbourhood. Staff were so attentive and friendly. Breakfast was top notch. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Cape Town!
Great stay, felt welcomed from the second we arrived. Lovely room, beautiful lounge and pool area, great breakfast. Staff superb helping plan trips and help with all queries.
We loved our stay at Derwent House. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and we loved the honesty system at the bar. We will definitely be back!
