Although we were offered AC after we mentioned it was very hot in the room ,it could have been included as an option from the first night. We didn’t realize how close we were to the highway so opening up the windows at night for fresh or cooler air allowed the noise of the steady stream of traffic - which was surprising for this time of year and little restful sleep. The AC probably drowns out the noise of traffic. I was a little surprised that our room was also not made up after the first night. Part of going on vacation is returning to your room with a freshly made bed , replenishing coffee and fresh cups / water glasses. Simple pleasures for the price makes the difference. This was a little disappointing as with the ants that were crawling around . As a beach town , it should be expected that guests need to take multiple showers during the day and may need fresh towels. Most hotels have a sign to either ‘make up the room ‘ or ‘ do not disturb’ . Just very disappointing.

This was a great little getaway. The property was very well maintained and clean. Most of the cabins are far enough from the road and made it a peaceful place to stay. The only issue we had was there were a few "soft spots" in the floor that needed some attention but besides that one little issue, this was a great place to call "home" for a few nights.

The website stated the cabins had been updated. Cabin 6 did not appear to be updated. The interior of the cabin was clean. The bed was extremely hard and not comfortable. The windows were very dirty as were the screens. I did not consider opening the windows for this reason. The air conditioning was satisfactory in terms of cooling but it was very noisy. The front door had holes in the screens so we couldn’t keep the inside door open…this was disappointing since it was a hot summer weekend. It would have been helpful to have a channel guide for the TV for out of state guests. The outside of the cabin was peeling and run down. There was a table and 2 small chairs which I sat on for a while but the peeling paint and dirty windows were quite unappealing. The continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. The owner was pleasant and inviting. The pool looked nice but there were only 3 chairs just outside the pool. We were disappointed but tried to make the best of our stay. I don’t consider myself a hard to please customer but for $250 per night it did not meet our expectations.

My family and friends went up to Maine for a wedding. So happy we stayed here. Great location between York and Ogunquit. (wedding was at The Union Bluff Hotel) The cabins were very quaint & clean. Property very well maintained. Clean, convenient pool, easy access from all cabins. The pavillion located center of all cabins, was amazing, we all could hang together their, play games, conversation, TV, and fun. Welcomed each morning by the owners, and their big, sweet, mushball baby- River. Will def stay here again!

Great Home base for Beach Adventures with Dog
I stayed with my dog for a weekend and it was perfectly located to quickly get to several beaches, shopping areas in 10 minutes or less. All the staff were friendly and I loved the breakfast each morning - lots of choice and great coffee. I also liked that there's a small trail to walk the dog right behind the little cottages so easy for the first of the day/last of the day walks in your PJs. Loved my rocking chairs on the little porch and the mini fridge. I would stay here again.

We booked for the cottage however we stayed in the inn. We stayed on the second floor. The stairs are extremely narrow. The room is beautiful. Very clean and I love the old fashion decor.

Had a lovely one night stay in the charming Treehouse cottage. It was comfortable and cozy—it accommodated our family of four (2 adults, 2 littles) nicely. The property is close to everything—very well located. The staff is friendly and kind—they’ve cultivated a very welcoming, warm space to stay. The complimentary breakfast was tasty. We look forward to coming back to this magical gem! Thank you so much!

Our cottage was clean and comfortable, except for the dead bugs around the kitchen area- guess we’re glad they’re dead? Woman in office wasn’t exactly friendly- watched us so carefully during the free breakfast that we felt like we were stealing! We’d go back- nice location, good price.

place was clean, quiet and had a woodsy feel, lots of shade. excellent if you don't like crowds. nice clean small pool. cabin was small but we didn't spend much time there. bed was a little hard. I would go back.

An unpleasant and uncomfortable experience
While the cottage was cute and well presented, the floors were filthy and sticky, and the air conditioner was pumping out a terrible smell, like some strong chemical cleaner had been sprayed in there. We called the office several times to see if something could be done, but no one answered. We left messages a couple of times, but they never called back. We couldn't afford to get alternative accommodation, so we were stuck with a second night. Would not go back.

Truly wish you would of gone to the office to ask about changing your cottage or having them check things out, we have an amazing staff , anyone of them would have jumped at the chance to make your experience the best experience. My team works hard steam cleaning each floor in each cottage every change over. We would of redone it to your satisfaction. If you had asked one staff, the office is open 8am to 9pm. We hope to turn this negative to a positive so please give us another opportunity . Hope to see you in the near future
