Cape May overnight
Old fashion hotel in a Victorian mansion. Great for a quick visit to Cape May from Delaware Pleasant and helpful staff Difficult parking situation Close to the Convention Center where we had concert tickets.

Great location, friendly staff, rooms are ok
We had a lovely stay based on the location of this hotel. Positives included location, friendly staff, lovely porches( on main building) and clean rooms. Negatives were when we arrived we were told our room was in another of their buildings across the street (which was nothing like the main building we believed we were booking) Room was extremely small and bathroom even smaller, very tight and confined. There were no available porches in which to sit and have a cocktail on our building (part of the allure when booking) so we would have to go across the street whenever we wanted to sit outside. There is no available (free parking) so we had to street park about 5 blocks away. Steps inside include 36 very steep to 3rd floor. It wasnt a problem for us as we are very active but for someone with health issues I would imagine it would be very difficult if not impossible. The breakfast was disappointing with primarliy carbs/danish /muffins etc but the fresh fruit and tea was delicious. We didnt eat breakfast the 2nd morning and ate elsewhere, only grabbing a juice and coffee.We travel extensively and comparably felt it was an overall mediocre stay based on those issues for the price but loved the location.

Dear Kristen,Thank you for coming to stay with us. The room is one of our lowest priced rooms and the last available when you booked. There are two other buildings that you are more then welcome to sit on those porches at anytime. Generally, guests with health issues do not book third floor rooms if they do we help with luggage. The breakfast is full buffet with plenty of non carb options. The casserole the first morning you were here was a Stuffed Baked French Toast the following morning was an egg dish which I think you would have enjoyed very much. We had a water issue in our room and the staff was especially accommodating in moving us to a different room. Thanks to both Monica and Brandi! Parking can be an issue in the area as most of it is metered during the day. There is unmetered parking fairly close but be aware that some of it can be permit only. We found this out the hard way when our car was ticketed.

Hotel was beautiful but breakfast was on par with a Hampton Inn. For the price they get , it should not be a buffet. Just had coffee since I could not get eggs. The TV was a small 15 inch screen.

We never had anyone not find something to eat. We have a wide variety of things to choose from casserole, side meat, fresh fruit salad, vanilla yogurt, homemade jam, english muffins, bagels, homemade breads, and muffins. We just upgraded our internet we are in the process of looking into getting bigger TV's where they are needed. Generally, guests are out and about enjoying the town. The Lord Melbourne room in the House of Royals was amazing. It had a double shower and a beautiful bedroom with high ceilings and well decorated. The balcony faced the very noisy party (all weekend) at the full-house-rental across the street, which definitely ruined the balcony experience. Also, the breakfast food was just adequate, but the location was beautiful and it was lovely to enjoy breakfast on the porch.

It is 4:00 AN, and we are very cold. No one checked us in, even though website said desk would be open until 7:00 PM and we arrived before 6:00.. No one here to ask if heat can be adjusted. Neither wife nor I can sleep. Cannot find a way to turn heat up and whatever setting it is on is much too cold for us. Neither can be comfortable, or sleep. The handout left with our key gives a phone number to call for emergencies. We have been telling ourself this is not an emergency! But, we are cold and uncomfortable!

The property was wonderful! Centrally located, literally 2 blocks from everything. Staff was friendly and attentive! The room was clean well kept and in its original Victorian styling. We enjoyed afternoon tea with fresh backed goods and Coffee. Breakfast was great, they have a Vince outdoor cafe area where you can enjoy Tea or Breakfast

Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing B&B
Our room was on the third floor of the one of the Queen Victoria buildings. It doesn’t matter which building you’re in it is beautiful. We stayed off season so it was quiet but there were still others around. Everyone staying and the staff were so welcoming and happy. We had a very relaxing and much needed time and would definitely return.

Did not stay in Queen Victoria but one of their properties across the street. Room came with a sleep sofa that was positively HORRIBLE!!!!! We left early as my son's back hurt so MUCH from sleeping on it he could no longer stand it. I have disc problems in my back and could not even sit on it when it was opened up. When opened up the so called mattress gave NO protection from the metal rails at all. I complained to the staff when we left and I was told it was new. NO WAY. I suggested that they remove it immediately and put in a double bed. Afternoon tea: was NOT a Tea at all! consisted of a bag with a paper cup, 2 cookies and 2 other sweets. Breakfast was nice but the food was cold. They have a LOT of work to do. I want a refund even if only partial. I was there for my 70th birthday.

Hello, I am very sorry to hear that the sofa bed was not comfortable for you. If you would have come to the desk after the first night. We would have moved you to a different room so you didn't have to sleep uncomfortably. We strive on taking care of issues when they are brought to our attention right away. We never want our guests to have a bad experience. Unfortunately during these not so normal times our tea can not be what it used to be. The treats that were in the bag would have been the same just presented differently. Due to CO-VID we have to follow certain guidelines to ensure our guests safety and the staffs. We are looking forward to going back to our original way as soon as this passes. I want to extend a refund of the last night to you.
