"The location of Comfort Suites Virginia Beach is excellent, including a path from the lobby area straight out onto the boardwalk. Rooms have balconies that are oceanfront so great view -- especially of the beautiful sunrises. Good hot breakfast with a lot of choices.Leiania (spelling is wrong, I'm sure!) was extremely helpful with check in, room change to a lower level, and trying to please about 5 different guests at the same time all with a smile on her face. She deserves a raise for customer service! Everyone at the front desk was very personable, no matter the time of day! While it is very clean, good breakfast, comfortable beds, and great location Comfort Suites needs to be upgraded in the general areas -- paint peeling, rusty door frames on entrances from garage, heavy doors to balcony have had security hooks added because the door handles don't work. We were disappointed there was no sliding door to balcony so that we could hear the waves and the heavy balcony door was impossible to prop open with what was available."

"The view was great right on the boardwalk. But they charged my card without me knowing it and they didn’t even know why. They were suppose to text me or let me know cause it happened on my last night they never did. It took four days to get my back account straightened back out. The pool was cold and full of sand where people came for the beach and jumped it. Never seen anyone cleaning it. Dirty bandaids were laying by the pool. Several of the brick around the pool were loss. They put a $250 deposit hold on your card and charge you $15 a day to park that isn’t included in your room. The door to the garage on your floor wasn’t working right. Instead of them fixing it they just left it unlocked."

"Very over priced!! Carpets looked shabby, in room coffee is terrible but u can pay 4 bucks for Starbucks! No free breakfast, our dinner was 50 for one soup and a cold entree!!! Hot water iffy, wallpaper coming off walls. Internet spotty at best. Beds very comfortable though housekeeping was great!"

"I never leave bad reviews. However this had to be the absolute worst experience all around at a hotel I have ever had. I will absolutely never stay at this hotel again. The oceanfront view was beautiful. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our stay. I booked this trip to attend the Dave Matthews concert. Upon check-in, told the room would be guaranteed ready by 4:00 PM, which allowed enough time to get settled before the concert. Instead….waited over an hour past that time while receiving multiple assurances that the room would be ready “soon.” No one proactively communicated the delay, and the timelines given were repeatedly missed. Almost 2 hours after the guarantee check in the keys were available. As professional who works in customer service, I understand that delays happen. What was disappointing was the lack of communication, accountability, and urgency throughout the process. Several staff members provided conflicting information, and one employee even blamed another employee’s inexperience rather than focusing on resolving the issue. Once finally received the room, we discovered a clogged sink, a non-working light fixture, and damaged furniture. While the view was beautiful, the overall experience did not meet the expectations associated with the price paid or the Hilton brand. If you are traveling during a busy season and have time-sensitive plans, I would strongly recommend preparing for potential check-in delays and managing. "
