「Gruyeres Rooms was a wonderful hotel! The room was huge, and I woke up to a beautiful view in the morning. It’s in the center of the village but very quiet. Plus, I missed a couple of train connections and arrived at the station down below after 10:00. I called the hotel and the manager’s brother walked me through everything. Yay!」

「Historic wooden hotel that's on UNESCO list. I loved seeing how people lived, even though it meant going to third floor on an old wooden staircase. The rooms are so interesting, with a side room with a third bed reachable by a secret staircase. The food cooked at the restaurant was so good, traditional Swiss food. Very friendly staff, dressed in traditional folklore dresses.」

「We loved this place. It's in a big old farmhouse and doesn't look like much from the front, but it is a hidden gem. Mike runs the hotel so well & is really helpful; they should change the name to Mike's Place. It's really clean, comfortable & has everything you need. There's a big kitchen with almost every appliance you could want. It's really quirky and cool. 30min from Bern. Schönbrunnen is just up the road for groceries, cash etc There's isn't a lift as the house is heritage listed, so keep...

「Wenn man Ruhe und Originalität liebt, ist dieses sanft umgebaute Chateau wunderschön. Es hat nur einige wenige Zimmer, diese sind aber sehr professionell schön hergerichtet. Das Frühstück ist mit eigenen Produkten vom Garten und vom Haus bzw dem Dorf bestückt.」

「Beautiful property in a rural location but easy to find. Clean tidy and well equipped large rooms and lovely home made food. Hosts were very friendly as were other guests we met. Can’t fault and recommend if you’re in the area 」
