"This place was horrible. It is a very old building and quite run down which I usually don't mind but this place actually stunk like a sewer. The lobby even smelled worse the closer you got to the counter. We arrived early in the afternoon and the smell hit us as soon as we walked in. It was old and run down but the smell was more like fecies or a sewer and we could barely stand it. I stayed with the bags holding my nose whilst my 2 travel partners went with the staff to check the rooms. They came back down after not long and said the rooms were awful so we politely decided to leave. We jumped back on wotif.com and found a way better place for not much more a few kilometers away so we jumped on the app, cancelled the reservation and left. Later I found out that the staff at the stinky hotel reported us as a no show so they could deny our cancelation and we had to pay for hotel in full. I'm still fighting to get my refund but they are lying and stating that we never even showed up so to avoid a similar situation I would steer clear of this wreck of a hotel all together. Im not that fussy and we were only looking for somewhere to sleep so I am happy to accept something that's not fancy but this place was discusting. "

"The staff at the bar, where we enjoyed afternoon tea, were fantastic. I accidentally left one of my earbuds behind and didn’t realize it until the next day. After calling reception and being told it couldn’t be found, I assumed it was lost. To my surprise, when I returned to the hotel later that afternoon, a staff member from the bar recognized me and immediately let me know they had my earbud. I was so relieved and grateful—truly outstanding service!"

"I liked that there was a laundry room where you could do your laundry, and they would fold it for you and bring it to your room. I also liked that they had a robot that could deliver your takeout or other deliveries. I disliked that the gym had very little equipment and only cardio machines. It should at least have a pull-up machine or a cable machine. I also disliked that packages sent there had to be picked up by yourself instead of being handled by the staff. Overall, the staff was helpful, the hotel was clean, and the location was good."

"Good service especially the chef & manager at the breakfast restaurant, the waitress at the lounge during happy hour were phenomenal. They catered to our needs . However I must say that management must improve the vegetarian options & cater to the international community… look into adding North American food as well."

"Overall place was good. However, when we were checking in, after spending about 5mins checking us in, 3 local ladies walk in with ID cards to check in - he stops what he’s doing with us and checks them in first, then proceeds to complete our check in. What happened to asking them to wait in line like everyone else? Also, when we asked for an extra keycard, they got so annoyed? One of us uses the gym and you need a keycard to get in and out. The same keycard is what keeps the lights and ac on in the room. Who checks in 2 guests and gives them 1 keycard? Then gets annoyed when we asked for a second one the next day? We told them nvm and walked away. Staff needs better training."

"The location of the hotel was great. Being part of the Marriott brand, I was expecting better services n standards. Called the front desk on few occasions, but the staff didn’t sounded too friendly. I was also upset that my corridor smelled of soured durian husks for almost half of my stay there. Today surprised that durian was allowed in the hotel and the smell was left to linger for so many days. Totally not something I’ve expected from the brand."
