"The Good: Beautiful, Renovated Rooms
I’ll start with the positives: the room was excellent. It was spotlessly clean, well-furnished, and clearly newly renovated. The bed was very comfortable, which we appreciated after a long drive. If you are looking strictly for a nice place to sleep, this hotel delivers.
The Bad: Lack of Transparency & Communication
Our check-in experience was frustrating. We arrived at 3:00 PM during a winter storm and asked for an early check-in. The front desk told us housekeeping wasn't finished and they would "let us know" if it opened up before 4:00 PM.
However, we were parked right outside our room and actually spoke with the housekeeping staff, who told us the room was completely ready. We watched the door for the next hour; no one entered or exited, yet the electronic lock remained disabled until exactly 4:00 PM. I would have much preferred a straightforward "Our policy is 4:00 PM sharp" rather than being told a lie about the room's status while we waited in a storm.
The Disappointing: Out-of-Service Amenities
We booked a two-day stay specifically looking forward to the hot tub, but it was shut off the entire time. When we asked, we were simply told it was "beyond their control" with no further explanation. It’s disappointing to pay full price for a stay when major advertised amenities aren't available."
