Very lovely owner who was helpful, lots of older people staying here, quite loud at night time, but right in the centre, close to the bus stop to banff, lots of nice walks near, recommend for a cheap cheerily stay. Make sure to ask for the wifi, it’s not given in an email! :)

Such a dirty facility. Noisy, a concern below; being told after the booking and could not cancel. It doesn’t say that it is mixed dorm. No independent light in the room for each bed, so have to go with other's time bed. Worst experience in a hostel so far and I have done others. Definitely, a big no for me.

Had a really great experience! Was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews but it was honestly super awesome! It was comfortable, clean, great location, and not noisy!!

Had to re arrange to ast1 trip due to family emergency and rang the hostel to ask if itd be possible to re arrange which the guy on the phone said hed ring me back to sort it and and got a text later that evening saying to go to expedia to get a refund when it was not a refund i was after but just changing the days

When we arrived we had to leave our shoes on a shelf at the top of the stairs. We knew it was not going to be the Hilton but it was far cry from the hostels I have stayed at before. Granted it is a historical building but this was a little over the top. Not going there ever again. We had to leave the TV on to drown out the drummer in the bar below. Music went on until 4 am. Not recommended if you are not going to party in the bar below all night long.

Location. It is located eating area, many different types of restaurants. There is one parking lot near it, and it is free between 8pm-8am. The smart lock on the room door was broken, but a key was provided. It is worthy the price paid.

Management was quite rude towards myself and my partner and there were messes in the bathroom that remained in cleaned the entirety of our stay. There was no flexibility with check in and we were faced with rude responses when asking if we could check in even 10 minutes early. However the bedroom was clean and we had nice clean towels.

We are sorry to hear you didn’t have a pleasurable stay during your visit with us, we understand your anger and disappointment about not being able to check in early but we this was in the middle of summer during are most busy time and we only have a total of two staff members which does include the manager. At this time of year the manager and other staff member are running around trying to prepare the hostel for the days arrivals and even if your beds and or room was ready we don’t let people check in early as we need to sweep and mop the floors in all common areas and hallways to make it presentable for that days check ins to make it sparkly clean for those first impressions. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in regards to your dissatisfaction when arriving early but now that we have expressed we are certain you will understand. See you again in the future, during your visit and stay with at our property.
