Camden Hills State Park Tours

Had problem with TV called and fixed right away,

We were surprised that we could not eat at the hotel in the evening due to all 3 restaurants being fully booked over the weekend. We said we were happy to eat at any time as we were staying with them but they had no space. We found it odd that such an expensive resort could not cater for their guests. The staff simply shrugged their shoulders and said we should have booked in advance. There were several other families in the same position as us, so if you are staying there remember to book a table in advance if you want to eat at the hotel in the evenings!

The rooms were clean and well designed. The shower was really excellent and the bathrooms were also very nice. Kitchen area was good. Our sofa bed was broken so we were upgraded to a bigger room which was nice although it was a hassle to move all of our stuff. Unfortunately the microwave oven didn't work in our new room and our email request for help went unanswered. This was very annoying as we were staying in 1 night to cook and not having a functioning microwave was complicated for us. Many of the lights/lamps/switches did not work. Staff need to work on their communication skills, when we called the property the calls were answered very casually and unprofessionally, just a simple hello without identifying the name of the business - left us wondering if we had dialed a wrong number. Likewise at the end of the calls no real good bye or greeting, just click. While the property was nice I would not consider this rental good value for money as we had 2 major problems in the 2 rooms we stayed in. The rooms were not cheap and were below par for the money we spent given the issues we encountered.
