The room was spacious and clean. Everything we could need in the room. Decor throughout the hotel out dated. Food was quite good and was nice overlooking the lake but the loud voices coming from the kitchen was ruining the experience. We were in a downstairs room and the wifi wouldn’t work until the morning .

Hotel & Room was great and breakfast too but was disappointed that the restaurant was not open Sunday Night we were not told about this until later so had to drive around looking for somewhere to eat!! Couldn’t find anywhere that was open so came back and had to have pizza from the Hotel !! It was nice but expected the restaurant to be open!!

This property is in the countryside but unfortunately you need to ask for a lake view and pay extra for the room otherwise you will look at a wall and a high hedge 3 feet from your window so you might be anywhere. It is right beside a lake but they do not make much of that. There was no shampoo in the room. There are plenty of Travelodges and Premier inns in the locale where you will be less remote and have shampoo!!!!!

Check in process was long as only 1 receptionist (who was arguing with the people she was serving, before realising she’d made a mistake). Bed was comfy, however all pillows (including spares) were firm. Bathroom was dirty & had mould around the bath as well as a limescale covered shower head. Shower head itself had the pipe pointing at the wall so couldn’t turn it properly without flooding the bathroom. No bag in bathroom bin. Paid for a lake view room, but windows were filthy with dust and greasy prints. Overall, good sleep but everything else was below standard.

Provided a good clean en suite room and good breakfast at a very reasonable rate. The hotel needs updating and the leisure facilities were closed but I was there on business and they provided everything I needed within my budget.

The room was spotless and very comfortable, breakfast was good, decent selection. Overall hotel dated, but only stayed two nights. Reception staff, could do with retraining, a couple of conversations while we were walking past and down the stairs not appropriate.

The lake was my favourite part of this stay. The bed was very comfortable and the linen had a nice fresh smell. The cleaners at this hotel must be some of the best in the UK as the whole place was clearly being well managed. The breakfast although basic was hot. The only thing missing from breakfast was some fruit. I was pleased to find 2 chairs to sit on in the room. The decor was dated and I think removing the pelmets from all curtains would make an instant improvement with no extra cost. The ground floor ladies toilets were extremely difficult to get in and out of each cubicle - i nearly had to step up onto the toilet itself. There was so much space to wash your hands that the cubicle space could easily be adjusted. Overall I think a budget hotel chain might have been better, but this hotel has so much potential, I really hope some interior investment is made. Perhaps they should negotiate a deal with a college to let some of their interior design students do a room each? This would only need to be for the decorating as all the furniture i saw was fine. I even liked the carpets!
