Was not able to enjoy amenities because of the weather and early departure but the view looked lovely. The floor in our room was VERY noisy and the bathroom could do woth some updating. The shower curtain was old and discoloured and the shower faucet very basic and flew all over the place unless you held it. Had dinner at the restaurant and the food was not great. Breakfast looked good but we didn't have time to enjoy as we had a flight to catch. Staff were wonderful!
This place was perfect! Very quiet and still well located. Rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly staff, and great restaurant.

Nice stay.
Room was very spacious. Had a great view from my room
Breakfast was very basic, Dinner at the restaurant was good.
Area is beautiful.
Easy parking! The food at the restaurant was not great and the hotel is old so you can hear all the other rooms. Its well located if you have a car, the town is charming!
Stayed here on a whim after deciding not to stay in Funchal again. It was so peaceful and the views were incredible. After all the hiking we’d been doing the hot tub felt so restorative. We’d planned to explore the town but since there was a restaurant we spent the time enjoying the serenity of the views and relaxing.

Very friendly people! De room was big but every step you make the floor makes noise. Breakfast was small but good enough.
Great location in the mountains, close to the village are, so don't be surprised to hear the roosters in the morning.
Pool and hot tub with excellent views to the ocean and the mountains. Restaurant with good choices and service.
I was happy there.

I had a fantastic stay at this Bed and Breakfast in the mountains of Santana. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the sea. The pool and whirlpools were perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking.
The room was cozy and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast spread was a great way to start the day.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the mountains. I can't wait to come back again!
Great place, rooms eith a sea view, strong wifi, plenty of parking, great location, balconies to see the views, breakfast good, staff friendly - all good!

Beautiful place, but light sleepers beware
Beautiful surroundings and nice pool. Rooms were alright. The main issue was that sound carry extremely well in the building, so even no one was being loud, it could be difficult to relax/sleep because of the sound from hallways or other rooms carrying through the building.
This hotel is pretty decent over all. The room was very basic but it did have a kettle, no fridge. The balcony in the room was very nice and the view is spectacular. There is a nice pool and hot tub. The worst part about this hotel is the free breakfast. They barely serve anything and they have instant coffee- terrible!!
This property has absolutely gorgeous views, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, and proximity to some world-class hiking. It's a very unique property, and I'd say it's perfect for light adventure travel. If you're planning to be active and outdoors all day, this is a perfect place to come back to for sleep and food. There is a restaurant onsite with cozy, satisfying options. I didn't use the pool or recreation facilities, but they were available. The wifi was not great, but it's good to unplug on vacation anyway. The staff was wonderful and attentive. And although the parking areas were small, they were quite sufficient. Great experience! Thank you to all of the staff!
Absolutely breathtaking location. Our room overlooked the ocean and we could see the sunrise every morning. The hot tubs were a perfect touch although they weren't super warm. I loved the location and scenery, however the staff was not very friendly. They refused to let us check in early even though our room was ready. That early check in could have really helped us because we only had one hour of sleep due to an early morning flight as well as one of us was sick but they had no interest in helping us. We would have been happy to even pay an early check in fee but they refused us up until literally the last minute.
Stayed for 3 nights, and was happy with what was provided for the price. Room was clean, the beds were quite comfortable, and the breakfast included at the restaurant was convenient and had a decent number of options. The views were incredible from the pool and from select rooms. It is very important to note that this hotel is not a good option if you are not planning to rent a car for your stay - despite looking like it is close to town on a map, it is not a short walk to get to town, and not pedestrian friendly. Unless you are willing to pay for a taxi every time you leave the hotel, you will want to make sure you have your own transportation if you stay here as it is quite isolated. Also, check-in is listed as 2pm online, but when I arrived at 2:15pm I was told I was early and would have to wait. Overall, really enjoyed my stay here - quiet and relaxing!
The property was gorgeous and the cleaning staff was always very friendly, no complaints there. The room was the main issue. The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, the floors felt sticky and creaked incredible loudly when walking around gently. I felt like an elephant.
The room’s decorations and furniture were all plywood, which was unexpected based on how beautiful the exterior of the property is. Additionally, the sliding glass door was incredibly difficult to open, requiring us to crouch and move the door from the bottom.
Breakfast prices were listed at €5 per person but we paid €8,50 per person. Regardless the breakfast was disappointing and felt overpriced.
The parking was also difficult at the higher property. There wasn’t a parking lot so it was mainly street parking where we needed to turn around on a very narrow and difficult road.
All in all, the area was gorgeous as was the property. With a little love and effort, could easily be a 5 star stay.

The building was clean enough and we were glad we had an ocean view however the property was very dated and basic. We did have concerns as the screen door to the balcony did not lock and we had to close the big metal doors but then it was stuck closed. Check in said 2 but we had to wait over an hour for our room and was given a bit of attitude about it. We were glad to have only stayed one night.
