"I am very disappointed with my experience at Wyndham Rochester Downtown.
We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 p.m., even though check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m. When we arrived, we were told that our room was not ready and were asked to wait about 30–40 minutes. We were also promised that we would receive a call when the room was ready.
After waiting for two hours without receiving any call, we went back to the reception desk. There was a long line, and only one receptionist was working. Our room was finally ready, but when we asked why we had not been called as promised, the receptionist refused to answer. She did not apologize or offer any explanation.
I am not even talking about compensation. We were not offered anything, not even a bottle of water. We paid for the room but were unable to use it for several hours after the official check-in time.
When we finally got to the room, there were no towels, and the sink was blocked. The next morning, there was again a long line at reception with only one receptionist working. After all of these issues, we still did not receive even a simple apology.
Overall, we were very disappointed with the service, the lack of communication, and the condition of the room."
