Location was close to many restaurants and attractions. Malak was very helpful by helping us with our city tours. Great rooftop view restaurant
The reception was very kind, professional and available. The restaurant has been vey good, and the breakfast too. I advice this place! We have been there very well!
One side of the hotel has hot water. The other side doesn't. As quiet an area as it is there is no getting away from the packs of dogs that howl all night outside the windows which have no noise protection at all so good luck sleeping without ear plugs. I was happy to switch rooms where the the window was a little more sound proof which helped a little. The restaurant has very good food but for some reason they feel the need to turn the music up really loud for dinner which is not very welcoming or comfortable. Amr however was amazing at helping me arrange some tours and even hooked me up with a SIM card after I had a phone emergency.
Very good hotel and very close to AUC American university of Cairo , staff were helpful & friendly . Breakfast was open Buffet and was perfect too , the room was comfortable and clean , 13th floor rooftop restaurant has amazing view . Highly recommended .
I enjoyed my stay at Mar Charbel Hotel in Cairo as it has a central location, Newely opened , well furnished and Comfortable Room .
Rooftop restaurant at the 13th floor has amazing view of the city , the included breakfast open Buffet was great too .
Friendly staff at the reception and Restaurant made my stay as nice as they could .
I highly recommend it .

At first the reception was not very caring. Even though we were tired and came from a long way, she made us wait for the entrance and had a long chat with someone else (courier or someone similar) and did not care much about the fact that we were waiting. The room had everything we needed. A well-functioning air conditioner, hot water, a comfortable bed. But I didn't like the cleanliness of the room. There was hair and dust on the floor and crumbs of food on the couch. We used the hotel's restaurant for dinner, the food was not bad and the prices were good.

If you want a swimming pool, do NOT reserve this hotel. The pool is 50 cm deep, water was not clean and there is no place for chair around. Basically it is a decorative pool.
Room was good and clean, AC was working well, toilet is big, WiFi was working well at least in 8th floor. Reception service was really good and helpful.
View from hotel was good and area is probably quite safe due to government buildings next to it. There were lot of armed guards around. There is ATM next to the hotel and few small kiosks to get small stuff.
Pizza Hut and really good Egyptian restaurant "Oldish" are by the same road as the "The American University in Cairo Tahrir Square Campus", walking distance from the hotel. The old museum is also there.

Location is fantastic however staff lack communication and understanding. Example - requested loo roll and box of tissue 4-5 times on phone, in person and upon popping out. Nothing. Had kids sitting on the toilet waiting to be wiped. No microwave in case you’re thinking of warming up baby food or sterilising anything. No use of cooking anything for you such as porridge given no microwave. Absolute shambles. Breakfast was average and seems everything is baked (uncooked from inside as a result). Safe had to be requested to be forced open on 4 occasions. Hotel refused to give extra water bottles for baby’s milk and sterilising. Really disappointing as will probably look for another hotel nearby next time. Definitely not a 4 star. It’s a comfortable 3
We stayed at Mar Charbel for 7 nights while exploring Cairo. What an amazing gem, centrally located near so many museums, mosques, restaurants, & other historical sites. The rooftop pool & restaurant (chicken cordon bleu & cheesecake) were amazing. Front desk personnel (Michael, Oalfat, George) spoke very helpful English, took care of us & had a genuine smile everyday. There is posted security at the front door, who are very pleasant & friendly. Very safe area with a minimart & restaurant across the street. Huge delicious breakfast included with the stay (made to order omelets). We could walk the area easily or get an Uber quickly. Housekeeping staff (Selma was excellent) had coffee & water in the room daily with fresh towels and fresh made bed. Everything exceeded our expectations & we would return anytime. Thank you!

Ok hotel for 1 night
Shower did not empty of water. TV did not work. the window is single glazed. woke up at least 6 times during the night with the wild dogs barking in the streets . This hotel is expensive by Cairo standards. but not delivering good value for money
It is advertised as four star, but it is probably like a two star hotel. It is located in a noisy place. They charge me $30 for early check-in even though the rooms were available. The lift don’t work. The building is rundown. The staff tried to help but are not always available to do so. The safety deposit boxes are very tiny. I would not stay here again.
