Charming little hotel. Very clean, calm, and well maintained, with excellent hospitality. The on-site parking and shared spaces are great (my daughter especially enjoyed the piano). It’s about a 30-minute walk from the center, with some fairly steep climbs. Other than that, it’s a highly recommended little gem!

Short 5 min walk from center, close to everything. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the views of the mountains were AMAZING. I did not want to leave in the morning, was just mesmerizing watching the view. The hotel staff barely spoke English but we got by with some Spanish and lots of sign language, and they were super helpful, even helped me get instructions on how to book my bus to Rio. I was in Ouro Preto during carnival, so was wild out but the pousada was a short walk away...

Really gorgeous place in an old building in the heart of the historic town. Just 5 minutes walk from the church of St Francis of Assisi, restaurants, shopping streets etc but tucked away on a quieter street. We had room 6, very pretty with two small balconies with full length windows overlooking the street. We loved standing on the balconies looking across the rooftops to the mountains. Very comfy bed. Can borrow a hairdryer from reception. Bring your own soap and toiletries. Nice towels,...

Fantastic location for easy walk to town and sights. Beautiful historical property. Bed has all of the creaks and sounds of its age but mattress very comfortable and got a great night's sleep. Angelica took very good care of us. Excellent breakfast. Parking a challenge if arrive mid-day but in the evening we found a spot very close to hotel.

Unbeatable location, great view, excellent food at the restaurant (I don’t usually eat at hotel restaurants, but I ate at this one four times during a three-night stay not counting breakfast). If you’re interested in architecture, Oscar Niemeyer designed this place (which was a delightful surprise that I didn’t remember seeing in the description), and they seemed to have maintained it in mostly its original design. It felt like being able to stay at the Paimio sanatorium by Alvar Aalto. Very...
