"This property is a tranquil retreat in the middle of a forest and adjacent next to a beautiful river that we all loved swimming in! The owners had many great suggestions of things to see and fo nearby, great places to eat, and places to go for this being our second trip to Portsmouth so we had too much to do and lived it all! Our only regret was that we didn’t have more nights here!"

"Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. "The room was superb. The pool is excellent. There is one restaurant for breakfast with a buffet, and one restaurant for dinner. It did not have everything on the menu, and I found it pricey, although the food was good. Service was very slow, although I didn't mind - I wasn't in a hurry. No beach!"
