"The hotel was beautiful. The room had a big comfortable bed and 2 nice arm chairs. The host custom cooked breakfast for us and arranged for a taxi when we had to leave. There was a lovely terrace out back which will be nice when the weather is warm."

"I really don’t want to be negative about my stay at your hotel. Lovely location, nice well looked after buildings and brilliant for a 10 minute drive to the ferry at Ouistreham in the morning. But please get some staff! The service in the restaurant wasn’t brilliant and a few orders were forgotten, my main meal was ok, but arrived lukewarm warm, as if it had been prepared a while before it was delivered. Having just one member of staff, or might have been the owner, I don’t know, booking people in, sorting out payment, showing them to their rooms, serving coffee clearing glasses from the bar and garden, taking food orders, serving drinks and food all at the same time, on their own is the problem I think. Not the staff member. You know how many people will be staying with you, and when they are coming and who they are, so please invest in appropriate amount of staff to aid your customers experience. I would happily stay there again. Please take this review as constructive and not destructive, as it is a lovely hotel, and I did overal enjoy my visit their."

"On arrival we were immediately told "no breakfast" which was really disappointing since we had a long journey ahead of us and would have liked at least a coffee to start the day! We ended up at a nearby bar and bought coffee and fortunately, the last 2 croissants they had. The room did not smell very pleasant and we would not stay again."

"Adequate overnight stop off the afternoon sailing from Portsmouth. You can see the hotel as soon as you exit the dock. Late check in available if the ferry is late. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Quite a basic room, no tea or coffee in the room or bottles of water. Room was small with 2 twin beds. Beds very comfortable and shower good. Breakfast was a good assortment, although there were many comments overheard from the guests if you didn't get breakfast early enough all the hot food was gone. I thought the room was quite expensive as it was basic, but I guess you are paying for the location if you need an overnight stay before any long drive to the rest of France."
