「Comfortable stay and good facilities 」

「A 5 star resort , great spa too. Indoor pools, hot tub and steam room were serien. Our massage therapist was knowledgeable and friendly as well. The main outdoor pool is massive and water warm. The breakfast buffet is outstanding . The staff were always polite and spoke various languages fluently. Our room was very large with a terrific shower. I loved their optional pillow selection as well. The cleaning staff folded our clothes too daily. A nice touch. There are plenty of great restaurants...

「Le cadre avec vue panoramique des montagnes est magnifique. Le petit-déjeuner est très bien avec du choix. Possibilité de diner au restaurant de l'hôtel avec une cuisine locale et de qualité, l'équipe du restaurant est très sympathique et serviable. Le jacuzzi était parfait après une journée de visite, si la piscine était aussi chauffée cela aurait été un plus. Merci pour l'accueil, à recommander.」

「Terrace Mar is a wonderful place in a great location. The bed was super comfortable, kitchen was functional and having a balcony was great. Breakfast buffet was superb. Staff were very friendly. The rooftop pool was great with awesome views of Funchal. It was one of our favourite places to stay. Highly recommended 」

「Man muss immer die Relation zum Preis betrachten. Das insgesamt hat man zwar Einbußen wegen Renovierungsbedürftigem Hotel, jedoch haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel hat alles was es braucht und die Lage ist super. Auch das Parkplatz Thema ist nicht ganz so schlimm, Abends parkt man im Ort gratis, tagsüber gibt es die Tiefgarage des Ortes welche sehr günstig ist. Ich kann das Hotel daher eigentlich nur weiterempfehlen. 」

「What an amazing property. This hotel was one of my favorites throughout our family trip of 10 days around Portugal and Madeira. We were given a suite with pool and ocean view. The rooms were spotless clean, comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. One of the best breakfast buffets we have experienced. The staff was very friendly and professional. Located near restaurants, natural pool, shopping mall. Highly recommend to stay at Porto Mare Bayport when visiting Funchal.」

「We had a perfect stay. Everything was great! Starting from the greetings for my birthday with chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine, ending with dinners and amazing ocean view that is there from the terrace. The hotel is located among the banana plantations on the hill, and feels peaceful and calm. Staff is friendly and attentive, helped us with local recommendations. But some nights we just didn’t want to leave, so stayed for the dinner in the hotel restaurant, which is amazing with great...

「Loved the location, cleanliness and vibe of the hotel with fantastic pools and all staff were great. Only downside was limited parking and I was only able to get a space at the hotel on 1 of 5 days, all other days I had to search for on street parking around 500m away from the hotel. Not ideal but aware there isn’t much can be done about it due to the central location.」

「Really good apart-hotel, the room had good cooking equipment. The mattress was a bit on the hard side. There's a minimarket at the hotel but there's also a Pingo Doce a few minutes' walk. 」
