The property was beautiful. Elegant and comfortable furnishings, a beautiful building situated in the most peaceful of landscapes. Bird life was uplifting. The breakfast provided was fresh, ample for 2 people and the muffins were home made and still warm on arrival! It was the perfect place to step away and relax in.

Stunning setting in the countryside, just 5-10 minutes away from Byron Bay and even closer to the beach. Tranquility with capital T! Our room was cosy, clean and beautifully designed. Most amazing breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade pastries enjoyed on our private veranda overlooking the gardens and the bird bath. Our hosts were very friendly and generous. We can highly recommend this place!

Retreat a short drive from Byron's busy area

Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Great hosts. Highlight was breakfast on verandah each morning including freshly baked pastry or muffin. Recommended.

Great location. Peaceful. Clean. We were welcomed by the host and taken through all the features of our room and property. Had a lovely walk in the morning through some of the walking tracks close by.

Abelia house is an oasis away from the over commercialised centre oF Byron bay, although it’s less than ten minutes away from town. Incredible place to stay, couldn’t recommend a stay in this idyllic paradise more!

In a beautiful, quiet and private setting, we were welcomed to our accommodation by our charming host, David. Original art on the walls, quality furnishings and the most comfortable bed on the planet! Breakfast of natural yoghurt and fresh fruits already in the fridge, and good muesli, tea and coffee provided. Oh and I forgot to mention the raspberry muffins hot from the oven left on the table outside our room in the morning. Would we stay again? Most definitely!

Perfect Sanctuary

Abelia house is nothing short of amazing and the perfect sanctuary in busy Byron Bay. Waking up to freshly baked pastries every morning was our favourite detail. The accomodation has been carefully designed to give the “home away from home” feeling with many personalised touches by David and Kate. Would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely property with beautiful gardens. The property was easy to find, close to town (having a car or bicycle is convenient though as it would be a long walk). David was a kind host with lots of knowledge about things to do, see and eat around town.

A peaceful Byron stay!

Quiet environment in lovely garden setting surrounded by forest. Warm reception by owner, who had made contact prior to arrival with excellent map details.

Quiet, relaxing and friendly vibe.

3 KMS out of the bustling Byron Bay Area therefore quiet and surrounded by nature and the sound of sweet chirrping birds. Very comfortable bed and luxury bedding, great shower and lovely thick lowels. Breakfast is a treat with home baked pastries , breads delivered each morning. Be aware, leaving Byron to your accommodation , drive carefully, slowly as the road is winding with families living close by . No T.V. so take your own entertainment, book or catch up on sleep. Overall David and Kate made our stay a delightful 4 days on their magnificent property. Loved breakfast in the winter sun.

A beautiful escape!

Everything about this adorable BnB was delightful! The room was perfect and the bushwalk was so peaceful. Plus only a short drive to Byron centre for delish meals, wish I could stay forever!!
