Called and they said beach was fine- it was not washed away with exposed cable wires. They said pool was open was not. Hard to get towels and bedding. Kicked us out of the hottub 20 minutes early. Did not clean floors during week stay. 2 star. Would have cancelled if they were truthful.

Unfortunately storms the prior week devastated what was left of the beach front area. Workers were moving sand and filling large sand bags during our stay trying to save what was left. Other than that situation, which was out of the control of the lodge, we had a wonderful stay. Text communication was outstanding as they checked on us during our stay. Would definitely go back again!

There was nothing wrong with the accommodations, it was clean and oceanfront. The pictures of the beachfront have not been updated to depict the real oceanfront. There is no beachfront, no way to access it from the property. Large sandbags are in place. DO NOT book a first floor, because the only thing you’ll see is the sandbags as a view.

a couple weeks after Hurricane Erinn outer winds put water 4 feet high under the buildings. You cleaned up the sand and water really great and opened up for business right away

Beware of the job you signed on for

First, the view: Extraordinary! Hearing waves a big plus! Second, the beach: useless! Sandbags prevented enjoyment for any but the young and fit. Third,the service: NON EXISTENT! Surprises to learn that WE were the housekeeping staff required to remove and transport all linens and trash to 2 different locations down 4 flights without so much as a bag for laundry by 10 am check out time. At this price point: unacceptable!

It was ok

Didn’t realize our room was going to be on the 4th level (so many stairs). They should have had a questionnaire form about ability to climb that amount of stairs. It was so far out from the main attractions. Definitely a more relaxation spot!

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the poolside doubles. The location is perfect it truly can’t get any better. You walk right onto the beach, which was beautiful. Our room was clean and spacious enough for two adults and one child. Our beds were made every day, and the cleaning staff ladies were super sweet and helpful. That said, there are several things that could be improved, and they’re deal-breakers for me, probably why I will not stay here again. The coffee machine was terrible, and the coffee itself was awful. The water from the sink and shower had a sewage smell, so we had to buy gallon water to brush our teeth. The toilet handle was broken; after flushing, you had to manually lift the handle back up, or the water wont flow back down. Lastly, the pillows were so thin and uncomfortable that it was hard to get a good night’s rest. Overall, the room was okay but could be much better especially for the high price!
