"Flower Garden Villa was a truly lovely place to stay. The room itself was SO clean, very spacious and has everything needed. Basic kitchen amenities and a little balcony! Some lovely seating outside too which is very nice if you want to be around pretty flowers! Location is perfect as you are tucked away from the business but only a short 5 minute walk away to the beach and supermarket, ATM and restaurants! It's perfect! "

The owner sent us video to find the place.by WA, but since we don't have mobile internet on the way, it was too late. The is a grey-white sign 'Jonian hotel' in the front of the place. Butrint, a Unesco World Heritage site. Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint has been the site of a Greek colony (800 BC), a Roman city (44 BC) and a bishopric (5th centrury). Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development and that entity is unique. Moreover the ruines are situated in a beautiful natural setting. The photo shows the famous baptistery, a major ruin from the 6th century and an ancient Roman monument adapted to the cultural needs of Christianity. Its floor has a an exceptional and well-preserved mosaic pavement, but usually it’s covered with sand (for protection). #Culture #LocalSecrets #History
