Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - City Centre by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Room was really clean Road was nice a quiet so got a really good night sleep, breakfast wasn’t so great not much options for vegetarians or people that don’t eat pork"
"This is recognised as an Autism Resort. They have pictorial signage around the hotel and leisure centre. We stayed in 2 bedroom apartment and it had everything and more, than we could have imagined. There’s stair gates in the property if needed, bath and shower. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfy, pillows were dreamy and stunning views of countryside. A small courtyard area to relax in. Hotel Facilities; there was something to suit all ages; from a mud kitchen & playground, tennis, basketball courts, table tennis, badminton, outdoor games, crazy golf and 9-hole golf course. The leisure centre was spotless and the pool area was bright.
The restaurant offered a Bistro menu available in main restaurant or bar area. The food was delicious and had a great variety of gluten free options. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend."
"We always choose to stay at Orchard Hotel when we stay at Nottingham as it provides a lovely peaceful atmosphere conveniently located a short cab journey from the City"
"Bkack mold in the room and shower. Bathroom light was automatic but took hours to turn back off and bathroom door didnt close from the outside so the light would keep you up. Musty smell in the room and no window"
"The hotel is in an excellent location, with easy access for driving and convenient on-site parking. I’d also highly recommend a visit to Pushkar next door—the food was outstanding, and it’s a real bonus that it’s linked to the hotel.
The rooms were very comfortable, with cosy beds and modern, clean bathrooms, which made for a pleasant stay overall.
My only issue was with the lift, which malfunctioned while we were heading up to the 14th floor. It was a bit of an unsettling experience—certainly not the kind of “thrill ride” you’d expect outside of a theme park. My daughter chose to walk to the room afterward. Although I raised the alarm while inside the lift, I still needed to inform staff once we reached the ground floor. They did arrange for engineering to investigate, but the situation could have been handled more proactively."
