The room was very clean. The only problem was could not control the heat to turn it down or up. It was a very warm 73° in there the whole time very uncomfortable for sleeping and that was room 309.

My experience at Quality Inn Colcester is not to be repeated. Firstly the hotel is extremely run- down and looks like a decrepit student housing. The check-in was friendly enough. But then when we got to the room, we instantly smelled a very pungent and musty odour. Then realize that there was no climate control. The room was set at a sweltering 78°. and could not be adjusted. By pressing the button for low, on the very dusty unit,the vent only produced more heat. We ended up, pressing the button for no occupancy and opening the window. Sleeping with the window open was not ideal in winter. The room was not clean and showed visible signs of neglect when cleaning. Residue from God knows what. The mattresses are very old and creaky. And the rooms are not soundproof by any means. The door had a large 1 inch gap at the bottom, allowing for anyone to pass by to either here into our room or us to be able to hear their entire conversation. It felt like the equivalent of sleeping in a bathroom stall. The sink handle was also broken and permanently jammed on scolding hot water. With visible scum and residue from the years. Thankfully, we only spent one night there. The breakfast also looked unappetizing and we chose to check out early and leave. It is a shame that this hotel is in such a bad state because location was great. But the Google reviews are accurate and should be taken as warning before booking your stay. Or not.

Room was clean but lock key was not working properly. Hair dryer was not working. There was no slipper to use in the room even no slippers for washroom or restroom. Fat free Yougart was expired in breakfast even best before date was december 2025. I told the managment but they did not change that yougart even all days of my stay there were having expired yougart in the breakfast. I have very bad experience this time in quality inn. I was not expecting that. I’ll not recommend to any of friend or relitives to stay in quality inn. Thank you!!

Yes, the room was lacking. The heating unit was only able to be turned on or off with no thermostatic control. The window was inoperable so no way to moderate the heat with fresh air. Staff came to look, couldn't fix it, and say they'd see what they could do, but literally told us "don't get your hopes up." Hello? Really? Is that what you call customer service? We asked to be moved to another room, but were told there were no vacancies, but the parking lot was full and rooms were showing as available online. On check out, the staff at the desk pretty much said that just the way it is... our heaters are old and all work about the same, but "we're working on it!" I expect that staff can only do so much and the fault lies at the top. Finally, the listing says "pool" but no indication that it is outdoors and closed during winter. Very disappointing as well. "Quality Inn" should be quality spelled with a "K" at best.

The room clean and adequate but the heating for the whole hotel was broken and evidently had been broken for weeks. They did not tell me this when I checked in or offer a refund. They should close the hotel until this is fixed.

We ultimately decided to stay at the Quality Inn because it had the lowest rate in the area that allowed our dog to join us. The photos online showed your average hotel room in good condition. Upon arrival, hotel staff were very friendly and the check-in was a breeze. Unfortunately, once we arrived to our room, all went downhill. The door looked like it had been broken into multiple times, did not have a functioning deadbolt, and did not fully close allowing daylight and cold air to come into the room. The floors were dirty and not swept/vacuumed. The desk/cabinets under the TV had laminate coming off and peeling. The toilet was disgusting and the tub was gross and peeling. The water from the shower/tub had a stench to it. We also found a bug that looked like a baby cockroach in the bathroom. The bed sheets seemed clean but the covers did not, so we slept without them. The heater barely worked so it was either too hot or too cold. I would not recommend staying at this hotel and would avoid it at all costs. I'm debating whether or not I should request a refund considering how bad it was.

Room was not the cleanest, had spills by the door and sticky stuff on bathroom floor. Leftover residue from bar soap. AC unit was really old and was only pumping hot air (I get it’s cold but at least let me turn it down). Had to ask the lobby for shampoo. Front desk workers is what’s holding this review up, they were very accommodating and nice.

The overall cleanliness of the room was awful. There was a stain on the bedspread and they had painted the bathtub. Yes with like wall paint then to top it all off they called us at 10:30. Asking us when we were going to check out check out time is 11 and if you stay past that, there’s something on the wall saying they’re gonna charge you $250 to stay there till noon, which is absolutely insane. The only thing that makes this place worth it is it’s closeness to higher ground and the fact that there’s a Mexican restaurant across the street that was absolutely amazing.

The common areas were like a shelter, very bright lights poor paint job, cracks in the walls. The room was so hot and could not be adjusted. Needed to shut off the system and leave the door open. The bed spread had so many stains that it looked like it used as a rag to clean up a mess. That was the most distrubing part. Was it not clean or cleaned and still badly stained. The place looked nothing like the pictures of the room or property. I would have never stayed there. You got me again!
