A beautiful old home truly in the "heart" of the village. It is clean, nicely decorated, and a cozy base from which to explore the area, with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Our hosts, Anna and Anatoly, were thoughtfully attentive and fun! We especially appreciated their attention to our dietary preferences, and vegetarians will find a plethora of choices on the breakfast menu! We stayed in the Harrington room and found it very comfortable with a nicely updated and clean bathroom. We are a retired couple and enjoyed the quiet adult atmosphere. This might not be the first choice for families with small children as there is no pool or game room to keep them amused!
A very nice B&B run by friendly happy owners. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Our room was cozy, our breakfast was delicious, and this beautiful historic home is close to everything with seeing in Shelburne.
Good security, easy to use, beautiful building, gorgeous mural painting in sitting area. Walking distance to at least a couple restaurants and also the amazing Shelburne Museum, where we spent 5 hours.
This is a perfect B&B for couples looking for a quiet get away from the busy streets of Burlington. Easy access to nice dining options and well as close proximity to Shelburne Farms. The hospitality made us feel like family
The only reason I don’t give this Inn an overall excellent rating is because you have to be very specific about check in time and it is on a busy road. Other than that, awesome facility, truly yummy breakfast!!

Lovely B&B
This is a very pretty and well kept B&B. Breakfast is wonderful and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
Friendly and committed owners on site ensuring guests are met with a customized experience. Loved the custom breakfast option. Very clean and well maintained 20th century bungalow. Found the mattress a little soft and the pillows too thick resulting in a poor nights sleep but a small personal nuance that didn’t take too much away from the overall experience since we stayed one night. Would surely come back.
We had a fabulous time at Heart of the Village. Excellent location (we attended a concert at the fields across the street). We were able to walk to the brewery/pizza spot for dinner before and then to the concert. We then walked back at the end of the night, while the people in their cars slowly crawled by.
The Inn is very well maintained and very clean!
Our hosts were very welcoming and put on a gourmet breakfast that fueled us until 4pm!! Highly recommend the crabcake egss benny!
We will be back :)
Anatoly was so wonderful and accommodating— the Inn is absolutely beautiful, super charming, and the breakfast was incredible and generous. We could not have enjoyed it more. Heart of Village has a distinct sense personality and sense of humor, which is exactly what we look for in a b&b.
Some of the most creative breakfasts I have every had at a B&B. Heart of the Village is conveniently located in the Shelburne town center next to several great restaurants and support closer to Shelburne Museum. Comfortable beds and modern amenities throughout the Inn. Thumbs up!
This B&B is so charming. The Inn keepers were delightful and the breakfast was outstanding!!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
Too pricey for what you get
While very clean with friendly innkeepers, this B&B lacks a cozy common area and is on a very busy street with lots of car noise. The bed was comfortable but the bed pillows were uncomfortably firm (nice for looks but uncomfortable for sleeping). We did not feel it was worth the price we paid ($340 for the night). The "village" was just a few nearby quaint stores -- cute but not exactly a village. We frequently stay at B&Bs and enjoy meeting other guests and talking to the hosts. But the common area was austere, and the eating area was not a common table but separate tables as in a restaurant -- a restaurant with no ambience. The house itself has potential. This B&B could be improved to be much nicer.
The Heart of the Village Inn was a wonderful discovery for us! After staying many summers in various locations around Shelburne we felt so lucky to find the Inn and the incredibly professional and kind owners Rose and Anatoly. Every detail of our arrival and stay was considered and the accommodations were comfortable, well appointed and stylish. The best part was the full breakfast and the Vermont Cigar Sausage which is a must it you stay. We have found our home away from home in Shelburne Vermont. Can't wait to come back!
Our innkeepers were welcomng, friendly and knowledgable. They were apparently awaiting the arrival of their guests as they had the door open for us before we were able to knock! They offered a chooice of cold beverages and took the time to talk with us and show us around their beautiful Heart of the Village B&B. They answered questions and were able to reccomend places to eat and things to do in the area.
Wonderful, Victorian B&B situated in the heart of Shelburne, VT. Rose and Anatoly are warm and thoughtful hosts. Breakfast choices are vast and breakfast is cooked fresh to order, with wonderful touches in presentation. Rooms are comfortable with lovely period details, while also offering modern touches such as keyless entry.
Paid for booking in full then drove 4.5 hours for a business meeting the next day . Arrived at 8:00PM in the height of the area's busy season to find out I am unable to check in our contact anyone attached to this property . No answer on the phone . The text number thier website instructs you to contact has an automatic reply that they will not answer . Had to turn around and go home since no other rooms were available anywhere in the area . No answer from managment after a week of trying to reach them. No refund no nothing . Ok the fine print if I read the entire listing does state check in fom 3-7 . Dont miss it because this managment could care less . Why not leave the key in a lock box ? Why not answer the phone or text number ? If it was a problem with the property I am sure they would answer . However a guest tring to check in at 8PM nope . What a sincere dissapointment !
