Great hotel in budva

A great hotel in the old city of Budva. Our room was very spacious, the beds were comfort and the view from the balcony was stunning. The breakfast was very good, with a large variety of choices. Highly recommended!

Perfect location and a beautiful place

Avala is in an incredible location and the private beach access and free parking is key in Budva! My only gripe was housekeeping and a separate mini-bar checker both came relatively early. Granted I'm a late sleeper, but I was woken each morning that I didn't use "do not disturb" tag on door.

No problem with cleaning. Reception staffs are helpful. When making the reservation, it was said that there is a shuttle service from the airport, but when I asked the reception at the hotel, they did not even know about it. That was interesting. Hotel has good beach. Foods were good.

Absolutely great location!!! The 2 bedroom Villa was wonderfully spacious and had wonderful views. The pool was awesome. Very walkable and a nice breakfast. Housekeeping was non existent and the escalator only worked half the time. By the end of the trip it was annoying to ask to have it “turned on”. Not a reason to not book this hotel… just some suggestions on how they could do better for the price point.

The property is lovely and such a wonderful location directly beside the old town and the Budva port which is lined with restaurants and a few beach clubs. Our room (3032) was just perfect with a direct sea view as well as of the old town to our left. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was such a relaxing place to spend a day, and just wish we had more time to explore the area better. The breakfast was varied and good, not great. But I’m being picky here with that. Highly recommend this hotel and so glad we chose it. :)

Location is perfect, it's few steps away from the beach and also the entrance to the old town. Cafe right next to beach has a lounge deck area. Plenty of restaurants to choose from walking around the old town and a short walk to the marina which also has many restaurants. I had upgraded to the executive suite on the 3rd floor with a balcony sea view. The room is very spacious with modern bathroom facilities. The breakfast at the hotel has plenty of choices and good selection of options. The hotel facilities are excellent. Gym is a good size with plenty of equipment. The spa has steam and sauna rooms, indoor and outdoor pools which I used everyday and really enjoyed. The sauna could do with access to water. Other areas have very nice features. Hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful, check in was quick. I would stay here again if visiting Budva.

The only good thing I can say is the location and views. Staff is rude and doesn’t understand the concept of customer service. There was a bird in the restaurant every morning flying around. Even sat on the tables. They don’t have covers for the food so flies were sitting on the food. One of the elevators is broken and no time frame when it will be fixed. Rooms are a bit outdated and housekeeping does minimal when cleaning the room. There is no coffee pot in the room. So you can’t make coffee in the room. They have crazy rules no outside food or drink. Most people ignored it.

Just OK

The service at their restaurants is good. The front desk service is abrupt and a bit rough around the edges. The rooms are just ok - kind of bare bones not decorated much. Overall the people weren't very friendly. The people running the rentals on the beach were especially rude. The town is pretty and there are some nice restaurants. Just seems like people there aren't very happy and the hotel feels a bit prison-like. I wouldn't return here.
