Super clean newer hotel. The ac doesn’t work they said that they are in the their heater season still even though it was 80 F outside, which is fine but there were no fans and they said I could sign a paper saying they would open the window all the way but it was so noises with the metro below us. That was a huge disappointment, also no fridge or coffee in room. After our second day I thought about moving hotels, after researching there were excellent hotels available for cheaper than the ibis. Just fyi maybe wait and book last minute for a higher rated hotel for less than this one. I did not move hotels because my kids didn’t want to pack up and didn’t mind the noise and heat, I did. So just know there are better options if you aren’t familiar with Budapest.

I spent 2 nights at this hotel. The metro station (Deli Palyaudvar) is on the left side of the hotel 300m. You can buy bottle water from the station. The right side of the hotel, about 400m, is SPAR supermarket and bus stop. The location is quiet at Buda side. One bus stop to Clark Adam Ter where you can buy cable car ticket to the castle and Castle bus pick up & drop off point is there too. The room is very simple. Just have TV, hair dryer, toilet paper and body wash. So, bring your own kettle & slipper. The paint in the room is peeling off. The breakfast is above my expection. They provide basic American breakfast, oats, salad fruits, different kind of breads, juices. Coffee is very nice. Hotel lobby and lounge areas are presentable and look better than the room. As compare to the price of the room, I would say it is acceptable.

I liked everything!. I would suggest to have coffee available for guest that wake up early rather than wait for Bar or restaurant open. Even if Its between 4-7.30 am.

ibis Castle Hill is a great location and a very comfortable hotel. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Budapest.

It is a 3 star hotel, but what make the difference is there above and beyond customer service by there front office staff. I had concern regarding my room been on lower floor but, supervisor Mr. Kiollar Tamas took care of the situation immediately and we were got a room to a higher floor. This place is at the walking distance from all tourist attractions. 3 star hotel with 5 STAR customer service by the hotel staff.

It's an interesting looking hotel indoors, many pictures, that interesting car, etc. The cleanliness in my room? The carpet next to my bed had small pieces of paper, powder? Don't know but even with the plow, on the floor. The top of the baseboards in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in a while. I was surprised how small the menu was in the dining room. I thought it was because I'd arrived later, close to 2100 last night but when I went today, for lunch, it was the identical menu. Comfort though? Just great, lovely view of a Buda hill, excellent location.

We liked our stay at Ibis Castle Hill - it was overall worth the price and a pretty clean, standard hotel room. The only thing we missed was the lack of drink making facilities, such as coffee, tea, mugs and a kettle, which would have been nice after a long day exploring Budapest. There was also only three pillows for the two of us, which meant we had to share one pillow (we prefer two pillows each to sleep on). The room also had a three-in-one shampoo, shower gel and face wash which was nice since we forgot to bring shampoo with us. Overall the room was fine for what we wanted, but just would have been nicer to have more facilities.

I stayed the following 3 nights at the Novotel nearby. Accor group branding was evident at both hotels. My experience at Ibis / Mercure was similar to the slightly more expensive Novotel. I would definitely stay at the Ibis / Mercure again.

The location was great, very close to the metro which was a short and easy ride to where everything was happening The room was nice and clean. The best part of this hotel was Marcell , he was extremely helpful. He was very detailed and provided great information. He help me with taxi information, spa reviews, and restaurant recommendations and transportation. He was the star of this property. What I didnt like about this hotel was the lack of a coffee maker and coffee in the room which is essential in the start of my day. They also didn't provide any basic shampoo or conditioner. The breakfast was average and I thought extremely overpriced at 15 Euros . The hotel's interior is pleasing to the eye. I've stayed at at least 3 other Ibis properties and they all had coffee makers in the room. The lack of coffee was a real issue for me.

This hotel is great in price-value comparison, has a good location in the city and a nice view. The room was also cozy, and larger compared to other ibis hotels i tried before. The lobby has great spots to sit/chill with a laptop or books, the restaurant and bar are also really nice and stuff is great. What i really liked, and found unique - the menu in the bar and restaurant showed the final prices with vat and service charge - not like other places, where it's hidden and you have to do all the math to find out the real prices. There is also a nice instagram-spot in the lobby with a trabant, and the whole lobby has a train station+graffity theme which i liked a lot. I have to admit, i felt more home here than in most 4-5star places - and definately will come back.One thing i've missed: the electric kettle from the room
