"This is my favourite of the Liburnia hotels in Opatija, much more personal than the bigger Ambassador. The staff are always super-friendly, and the rooms are always clean and well-equipped. The food is always good, and the indoor pool is great for when it is too cold to use the outdoor one."

"The hotel needs a refresh! Carpet was thread bare and the stairs leading to the beach were in desperate need of a good cleaning. All little things that add up to a not so good rating. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Buffet breakfast was good."

"I really wanted to love this place. It has so much potential, and the interior design is great. However, sadly, my 2 nights there weren't as expected. 1. The pool was full ot bugs and flies and, overall, less clean than you would like it to be. 2. The bigger issue is that our shower broke the moment we used it, and then the water was dripping (not a little) throughout our stay... 3. The wifi is totally choppy, so if you want to work, you need to tether. 4. Lastly, the moment people arrived at the room next door, it felt as if we were in a dormitory ...you could hear everything they did or said. As luck has it, they werre also a group of inconsiderate guests and were up and about way after it's polite in a hotel setting. For the price, sadly, the quality wasn't there. "
