Absolutely stunning hotel in the centre of it all…very clean and wonderful staff. I would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend it for everyone else.
The loft space at Hotel Marcel was perfect for a weekend visit to Bruges. It offered 2 bedrooms, ample space, a little kitchenette, and was very clean. The location was perfect—close to the centre but also quiet at night.
We enjoyed our stay. Since we had a late arrival due to late train ride, they were very accommodating for our check-in despite front desk being closed.
Clean and simple hotel, we stayed one night, all staff were lovely, room was basic but with everything we needed. No noise from other rooms and on a quiet street with cheap parking just down the road by the library.
Room and beds were great, water pressure and temperature while showering was somewhat inconsistent, but likely due to timing in the morning.
Noise insulation was not great, we could hear lots of noise from the streets outside and the guests above us apparently were completely rearranging their furniture for an hour or so which was very loud in our room.
The room was tiny and the bathroom that had been added came out into the room with a single pane of glass separating the toilet from the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable. The location was great.

Brugge Hotel
Hotel is in an amazing area! So close to everything.Safe and beautiful block.
Beds are comfy
No persons at front desk after 6:00 pm
Rooms are small, but we never care because we are never in our room except to sleep.
Cleaning lady knocked on our door at 9:30 am to clean room which is fine but there was so much dust balls under our bed that it came out from under our bed.
Maybe they should try dusting the rooms better especially under the bed.
Hotel is a no frills hotel.Area of hotel perfection.
As soon as I made the booking, the hotel staff contacted us to ask our time of arrival. As we were arriving after the reception was closed we were informed how we could get access to the the hotel and our room with access code, which worked with no issues - they even send us instructions with pictures which was very helpful!
The room was good, comfortable and clean. The hotel also has storage to leave the luggage before/after the check in/check out, however this service doesn't work 24h - the staff was very friendly and came up with an alternative that suited us. I would highly recommend Hotel Marcel and would stay there again the next time we visit Bruges.

Take care: there is no door to separate the bedroom from the toilet. A total no-go. Fortunately they had toilets downstairs at the reception. Would be good to know that in advance. Roomsize is OK and Location is perfect!
I want to say that this is a lovely little hotel. Room was small and clean - breakfast bar was lovely and staff were helpful. However I am rating at a 2 because what we didn't know is that it backs up to a club that is open from 10pm - 4am and we could hear the music loud and clear and the DJ speaking. It was aweful and we did not get any rest. This alone is why I am rating it at a 2. Our room did face the back of the property and maybe the front facing rooms are different but be aware. It made our short stay in Bruges disappointing.
The hotel is very central and ideal for getting around. The breakfasts were ample with a good choice of continental breakfasts. The room was very small, but had a huge comfortable bed. There was hardly any storage, only 4 coat hangers and 2 shelves. The shower was excellent, but a very strange set up with the loo & shower cubicle at the bottom of the bed. The wash basin was less than 2 feet from the side of the bed which made manoeuvring around the bed difficult. A 5ft bed rather than 2 3ft beds pushed together would allow a bit more space. The room was very hot and a mini fridge would have been nice., but I appreciate that the lack of space would make it difficult. As we went as a group of 4 it would have been good for one of the downstairs rooms to be open for socialising, but they were locked. Overall, the hosts were friendly and it was a very central hotel.
