"It's a great place to stay in the charming town of Chipping Campden. Centrally located on the high street; with parking in the back (not accessible from the high street). The staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in Room 5, which is quite spacious (though on the top level; all stairs). They have some newer "cottages" that look to be accessible for folks who don't want stairs. Some minor negatives: 1) the tea room closes at 5:30 cutting off direct access to the high street; though there is a longer, walkable route from an adjacent building. 2) the room lacked an instruction/info sheet (a requested one did not arrive); annoying for those who aren't familiar with UK equipment. Great value for money; wonderful town to visit (lots of local activities); you can't go wrong here."

"The Lodge is quite lovely and perfectly situated in the beautiful village of Broadway, but our room was not properly readied for our arrival. The hotel is ‘unmanned’ which makes it tricky for quick resolution of issues. Our suite had been painted that day and smelled of fresh paint and the painter left a can of paint and a pizza box on the counter. The kitchen garbage had not been emptied. The wifi did not work upon arrival. Upon reporting the paint can /pizza box and wifi issues an apology was issued and housekeeping was to be alerted. I was asked to reset the router on the landing myself, which didn’t bother me. Returning from dinner two hours later the paint and pizza box and remained. I expressed my disappointment in the lack of action and have not heard a word since then. If you are looking for a hotel with service, skip the Lodge. It’s more like an Airbnb. The property and suite were fine, but the lack of guest care is a big flag. I rarely write poor reviews but the property was given a chance to fix the issues and chose not to."

"Reception was more than helpful when i showed up with my two small children after long drive. Food was lovely, atmosphere quaint, stay again in a heartbeat!"

"Apartments were okay but booking through Hotels.com was a disaster. I booked using Tesco vouchers but the vouchers didn't go through at my first attempt. I then cancelled and rebooked immediately checking with George apartments that this was okay. They said it was but both payments were processed by Hotels.com. I have paid twice for the stay very expensive! "

"Very old building, yet very charming. Many small sitting areas to read and to relax and they are really very cute. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The staff are very helpful. A great experience for me. "
