I enjoyed my stay overall at the hotel.
The room I stayed in was spacious, the shower was great, and there were facilities in the room to make a tea in the morning before I checked out. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads station, and a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping district in the city centre.
One downside was soundproofing of the rooms. There were a few other people (a family with young children) staying in the adjacent rooms were talking loudly in the corridor, and going between each other’s rooms, between 10.15pm and 11pm or so. And, each time their doors shut, it was pretty loud. This stopped me getting to sleep, and I had to wake up early on the Sunday morning to travel home - so not ideal.
Another downside was the lifts. When I returned to my room on Saturday night, only one lift seemed to be operating. I had to wait a while, and my room was fairly high up, so stairs weren’t an option. On the morning of check out, there was a wait for the lift then too - by the time it reached the terrace floor, it was pretty full. I get that it gets busier in the morning due to breakfast, but it would have been ideal if the lifts were more frequent.
Otherwise, a decent hotel.
