Hotel feels very dated and shabby. Staff were ok but all pretty perfunctory. Expensive for what it offers. And food was equally expensive and really mediocre

Great family stay – relaxing and enjoyable We had a lovely two-day family stay at Forest Pines Resort in August 2026. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and a great place for a short family break. The resort is set in a beautiful, peaceful environment, and there was plenty to enjoy as a family. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the facilities were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the leisure facilities and the relaxed atmosphere of the resort. It was a good balance of relaxation and family time, and we left feeling refreshed. We would definitely consider staying at Forest Pines again and would recommend it to families looking for a pleasant short getaway.

The Hotel was lovely the staff were polite the rooms were clean but only problem was the toilet was really low and my mum had mobility problems also we found that it was really low for the other family members. It was nice and accessible in the Hotel but too get to the Hotel pool and gym it was a rather long walk and to the other bar where the golfing was. I thought I was a bit expensive for what we paid for the double room for 4.

I stay here quite regularly and would usually give 4 stars however on this occasion it has to be three. I booked a king bed room and got two singles joined together with a gap through the middle making for a particularly uncomfortable sleep. I also chose to eat in the bar, very very overpriced.

The cleanliness in this hotel was well below what was expected. The room was dusty (could see hand prints in it), the curtains were stained with white blotches, towels were dirty, furniture was old and stained. Bedding had holes in it. Most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve experienced and thin lumpy pillows. No amenities in bathroom beyond a body wash that doubled as shampoo. The dishes at breakfast were grimy and the breakfast area was freezing. Overall not an enjoyable stay, would absolutely not stay again.

Stayed here on a number of occasions. Always find the mattress too hard and the pillows too soft and the road noise a little distracting. Amenities are good, overall general aesthetics are good and clean but notice some areas need more focus on cleaning and maintenance throughout the property. Food, drink and staff assistance are excellent.
