Clean room bathroom could do with some cleaning, ie cobwebs and paint peeling on ceiling. Would be nice to have some bottles of water in room. Staff was very helpful and friendly.cannot fault breakfast was offered any thing you liked on menu.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

Excellent place to stay for piece & quite. Good size bedroom, comfortable bed, bath & shower. Very good breakfast, lots of choice. We had the valentines evening meal, which was exceptional. Staff really friendly, as were the owners. We have stayed here before and definitely will be again.

I chose Haddon House as a base for some trekking and sightseeing in Dorset. It's in a beautiful little place called West Bay which has lots of restaurants, cafes, small shops and a small supermarket - the hotel is in a great location for a 3 mins walk to West Bay. Hotel has a large car park which was important to me to have somewhere safe to park my car, and a very large grassy garden with some tables/chairs, whilst there is nothing special in the garden it's just a perfect relaxing spot for a drink watching the sunset which I did every evening. The room is spacious and clean, good facilities and wifi, it's a little bit dated for my style (which is ultra modern) however it was fitting for the area. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was a very relaxing break.

The hotel is conveniently situated for walks around West Bay, there was ample parking and the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was excellent and our hotel room was clean and comfortable. Overall we would definitely recommend Haddon House as a good place to stay for a perfect away break, and would return ourselves.

Breakfast was amazing! Lots of really tasty options, superbly cooked. Rooms were clean and tidy, bath with whirlpool was great. Plenty of safe parking and a shelter for our motorbikes was perfect. Easy walk to shops, harbor and restaurants. Staff were all cheerful and friendly.

Lovely traditional hotel.

Such a lovely traditional English hotel that serves excellent food. Sunday roasts are amazing a good value. West Bay is a self contained seaside resort with something for everyone. Would definitely come back again.

A great place to stay. Highly recommend.

A most relaxing stay in lovely surroundings. We were made very welcome by Jo and her staff. Our room was well equipped and we had a great nights sleep. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent with great service and wonderful food. We would highly recommend Haddon House Hotel and would definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it.

We stayed in room 2 spacious and comfortable. Asked for extra heater as the windows were very draughty. The restaurant food was excellent both evening meal and a hearty English breakfast. The staff were very good.we would stay again.

We were warmly greeted even though we were soaked through and dripping wet after walking the coast path. We were dripping water on the floor and even my hand soaked the papers when I signed them! : ) The staff was great and very helpful.

Haddon House Hotel is a wonderful friendly place. Convenient to the heart of West Bay. The quality of food is second to none. And the rooms clean tidy and bright. The bathroom is luxurious. The only bad thing was the macerator from the next door room that was quite noisy in the night.

Went for our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room was spacious and clean although the carpet looked pretty old and the decor a bit dated. The bathroom was fantastic,it even had a tv in the bath ! The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice and we had our evening meal there twice. Both times it was lovely. It is a short walk from the hotel to the harbour and various pubs,restaurants and shops. The beach is there too. It’s all very compact so easy to walk around.

We were surprised - the hotel presented itself as perhaps old-fashioned and stuffy on the web. However, the complete reverse was true. Very good welcome, room, food, service, location and overall experience. We feel the hotel has sold itself short on-line and ought to publish more good reviews such as this one and look at 'modernising' its web appearance to prospective visitors.
