"Probably the nicest hotel property on Main Street Breck. Well maintained and updated. Walking distance to anything on Main and easy access to 4 O’Clock for hiking trails. Was really surprised with a great late summer rate of less than $200 per night. We have tried other Breck properties that are not as nice. However…… and I shouldn’t complain because Breck in the summer is truly a glorious escape from heat. There is a daily resort fee of $40 and daily self-park is $47. So that added almost $700 to our bill. Like many Colorado towns, overnight street parking is not allowed, so you have no choice. We did do a few nights at the ice rink lot for $25 per night. Saved $60 which came in handy for a nice lunch. The resort fee, again, not a deal breaker but you get $20 of that “back” per day to use at the bar or market. Basically two drinks plus tax and tip. But it is use it or lose it every day - it does not carry over. We missed two days until we learned the system. We had a nice large room with a living area and separate bedroom with a door. Very nice. Good, large vanity and walk in shower. Breakfast was very average - I know it was summer, but so many kids in pjs poking their way around the buffet and touching food, putting back, etc. yuck. Just basically came down for the coffee. I love dogs and CO is very pet friendly, but at times it was like a kennel in the lobby. Way too many dogs in common area. Bottom line - would choose again. Expensive but worth it."
