Stayed in the 'triple room', which was very nice. However, the stay was totally ruined by the stupid electricity/lighting wiring, and awful staff service. I was woken up by my friend in the downstairs area of the room at 04:30, because the lights were not working (no light in the bathroom), but there was electricity because the TV and fridge were working. The staff said they would get an engineer to us at 8am... No good as we were leaving at 07:30. But what was totally unacceptable was the fact that we didn't need an engineer, as it was explained to us at the reception when checking out, that the upstairs bed has a 'master light switch' that kills every light in the room. So no need for an engineer, just for the staff to tell us that either at check in, or when we found the problem.
This is a really stupid set up, and very badly managed situation. Made worse by the total lack of empathy, understanding or apologies at the reception in the morning.
It is a shame, as it really ruined what on first impressions, was a wonderful hotel.
