"Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area."

"Older hotel and rooms are two flights up. Besides that, everything else was good. Rooms are smaller and old, but comfortable and clean. Good restaurant down stairs and good pay to order breakfast."

"Shower and wifi did not work my entire 5 night stay and nobody would do anything about it. I contacted them several times asking for repairs and help but nobody ever fixed the problems. The iron was also broken and the toilet wouldn't flush consistently. There is a lovely resort/spa hotel next door, I will stay there next time. "

"The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. "
