The cottage had ants and wasp. We had a container of donuts in the box brand new, that had only been on the counter for an hour while we went to swim. Upon opening the container because our kids asked for some we opened it and found it littered with ants. Over $59 dollars of food gone in a hour . The front was helpful and accommodating. They changed and gave us another cottage. Unfortunately that cottage had ants and wasp inside as well. So we decided not to leave any snacks out that’s easily accessible for our kids which is an inconvenience. We had to wipe down the counters and just overall didn’t feel clean. Behind the fridge we found a mound of dead ants with live ants crawling over and around them. Just not pleased.

This is a beautiful place to stay. We had a two bedroom cottage and we loved it. We came during spring break weekend and they had one indoor pool open and one outdoor pool open which was nice because it was hot when we were there. We also went down to the dock at the lake and it had a nice view. We also enjoyed going up in the lighthouse. I would definitely recommend staying there and will stay again in the future.

If you keep your expectations low, you won’t be disappointed. At check in be prepared to be greeted by a pushy timeshare agent, who wants to convince you that his two hour presentation is better than spending time with your family on vacation. When you get to your cottage, come armed with fly swatters and wasp spray as wasps are your hosts inside your cottage. The front desk and maintenance man will try to help you, but convince you, it’s ok to stay in the wasp infested cottage, until the next morning after you have already unpacked. When they will then tell you, you need to urgently move to a new cabin. At first you will resist, but then pack up ALLLL the things you unpacked less than 12 hours before and move to your new cottage, where you will be greeted with no a/c and just a fewww more wasps. One of the wasps even joined my son on his pillow as he was trying to rest his tired head. He slept on the couch the rest of the night… Our back door was just there for us to admire the back porch from the inside. The floors are very dirty so don’t bring the good socks, and be prepared for black toes. The pools that were available are dirty and we just wouldn’t risk it. If you forgo this review and book anyway, say hello to the wasps for us and bring your fan, just in case the AC is not working.

We loved our little cottage! Only complaint would be you don't get a lot of toiletries. I had to purchase my own. And no seasonings in the kitchen besides a tiny salt and pepper. But other than that, we loved it. We had a great experience. And we will be coming back for another stay.

House was dirty, sheets were dirty and stained, internet didn’t work, window was broken and stuck open, window blinds were broke and would not close causing living room area to be unusable during the day due to sun, main floor toilet didn’t flush, main floor shower screeched when in use, front staff were not helpful and would rather argue with customer than assist in resolution. Trash and linens blocking driveway upon arrival at 11:30pm.

No lake view. Some maintenance issues. Heat not working, broken shower door, lamp on desk/vanity didnt work. No movie chanels or any way to watch Netflix or Fandango movies that you own. Tried to take advanage of jaccuzi tub, but ran out of hot water before tub was full. Charged a $$$ resort fee at check in and then pressured to take a time share presentation for which they want you to give them $$$ to hold your spot. Still waiting for that money to be returned. It is a nice property but all these things add up and make it really not worth ever coming back. Indoor pool was freezing cold. One of the beds upon check in had dorito cheese dust from previous guest on the sheets and at toddler level wiped on the walls. There are too many things to not want to try something else on future visits.

There was no information given when getting checked in such as where the pool towels were or that no additional towels would be given out if necessary (you just have to was the ones you already have, hopefully you dont need them before you find out this information) whe. I asked the next day about where the pool was, asking about pool towels and where to find the wifi information i felt like the manager judged me completely and it seemed like she did not believe that i actually paid for my stay there. Also we were in a tornado watch with no information given on what to do in an in case of emergency situation. The cabin itself was very nice and cozy. I just wish the staff was better.

I love this place. I booked through Expedia. I did not know that this was a timeshare. I was upset because they would not take no They keeping on and on.. I explained to them that I would not be able to take a tour because my husband has dementia and I could not leave him or take him to the Meeting.
