A stunning queen bee sanctuary

Stunning sanctuary in the beautiful Transylvania mountains, with equally stunning foods and a top quality spa. Cannot recommend enough, except I’d prefer noone knew about the place, so we could get it all to ourselves. A boutique diamond, perhaps still slightly in the rough, but hastily getting there.

Almost perfect hotel

The most amazing hotel I’ve ever been to- beautiful relaxing amazing spa- and the food!!! And I’m so problematic with food usually but wow! Horrible horrible room! Did not clean because apparently I need to ask specialty in the reception which they did not tell me but whatever. The pillow are not humanly possible to sleep on, it’s like a brick - beside that perfect - just never agree to be in a room that is like an attics with uneven roof.

We stayed in the Suite, which had a big bedroom for us and a smaller one for the kids. The architecture and decorations resemble Transylvanian roots with a modern touch. We loved the pressed artwork and wished we could buy one to take home :). The pillows, bedsheets and towels were high quality. And the shower head had all sorts of "massaging modes" that were amazing after a hike. Same attention to detail is showcased throughout the property. The spa had a fairly warm indoor swimming pool, with fountains on one side and two metal chairs with whirlpool on the other side. It also had a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a salt room which was an interesting addition that you don't normally find in many retreats. The stay came with free breakfast which had a buffet of cold cuts as well as on-demand warm egg-based options. The restaurant is where they should probably invest a bit more. While the food looked beautiful, it was just ok and the staff wasn't super helpful (except for one wonderful woman, whose name we forgot but wanted to leave a huge thank you note). We waited for quite some time for the menus, then for the food, and finally for the check. While the chef was able to accommodate our daughter's allergies, the options were very limited, so beware in case you have allergies too. One warning is regarding the road to the resort - one lane dirt-road. Also, good to know, there is no fridge, no microwave, no iron, no AC.
