"This property is in an old coaching inn, so it has lots of history and charm. The amenities,are great, it is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our dinner here was wonderful. It's a very enjoyable place stay and convenient to the sites along Hadrian's Wall."

Wish we could have stayed longer
"Stayed for one night, on our way back down from Scotland. Had a lovely time here, and wished we could have stayed longer. Arrived around 6pm, very easy parking and checking in to our room. "Lovely quite country location, off-street parking & all the comforts of home. Near train station if public transport is required, however noise from trains was not an issue. 'The stables is ideal for a couple with small kitchen if wanting to cook."

Lovely cottage, great location
"Swallow Cottage is in a great location for exploring Cumbria and Northumberland. We had a lovely stay in a comfortable and very clean cottage. The owner was fabulous when we had a small issue and responded straight away. We'd definitely stay here again"
