"Front desk was quick, organized and also helped with ideas for restaurants. There are many restaurants close by varying from fast food to Indian, Mexican, Japanize, Chinese. Restaurants range from sophisticated to casual dining. The lady managing the breakfast room was most pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The hot water thermos wasn't keeping the hot water hot and she would go to the kitchen to get water for patrons. The buffet was replenished regularly with hot pancakes, eggs, yogurt, milk, cereal, bread, etc. and condiments. Room air conditioning was operating well to keep the room comfortable, although a little loud. The room was clean and has been updated by newer/newer blinds, curtains and carpet. We stayed two nights and found clean towels in our room on the second day. I would consider Park Hill Inn and Suites on another visit to Red Deer."

"Given the number of messages I received from the hotel informing me of my upcoming stay, I was surprised that there was no mention of the hot tub closed for repairs. I was most looking forward to using the hot tub and was disappointed it was not available for use."

Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Red Deer South by IHG

"This hotel was built in 2011, but you’d never know it—it looks brand spanking new. Everything is fresh, clean and very pretty, and the front-desk staff were outstandingly warm and welcoming. We had breakfast the following morning and were very well looked after by the lovely breakfast attendant. There’s a pool, although we stayed over a long weekend, when it was understandably full of small children joyfully hurling water at one another. Alan nevertheless managed to sneak in a little swim and emerged looking enormously pleased with himself. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were perfect, the air-conditioning worked beautifully, and parking was easy. The hotel is conveniently situated in Gasoline Alley, so getting into Red Deer—and back out again—is a breeze. My only quibble is the coffee, which is dreadful. In fairness, I’ve become spoiled since acquiring an Nespresso machine, but if the hotel ever replaces its Keurigs with Nespressos, I may simply move in. Coffee-wise, there is no comparison. All in all, a very comfortable, attractive hotel with exceptionally kind staff. We’d happily stay again—although I may bring my own coffee."
