"We stayed in the old part of the hotel, although it was a bit outdated it was very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole complex is well maintained and very clean. Location is perfect, lots of nice restaurants around the the corner, as well as a supermarket and pharmacy. Great sunset! We would definitely go back!"
"The hotel is in an amazing location for visiting the old town and marina of Alghero. The Blau bar and breakfast were a highlight. We’ve stayed here before and had a great time. This trip was less successful as 1) the mattress in the room we had was extremely firm and so made for an uncomfortable night. However, this is subjective and many might appreciate a firm bed. More importantly, 2) the air conditioning / fan in the room was broken and causing water to drip through the ceiling. We reported this to reception and they didn’t seem to do anything about it or offer anything to us like a room change or anything. The only thing they said was that they’d call a technician and if we needed more towels to put down on the floor. Honestly I think this is unacceptable. We had water dripping out the ceiling all night and it was a really irritating noise and also pretty bad to be stepping round it and laying down all the towels on the floor under it. At least for the price paid I think it’s not good and I would have expected something refunded or offered to us. We spoke to reception twice about it and nothing so we just checked out as normal and left and didn’t request anything (maybe I’m too British) but it left a bad taste and impression with us. We totally understand things happen out of the control of the staff and the hotel might be fully booked and unable to move us but some sort of apology would have been appreciated, especially given it’s not a cheap hotel."
"The breakfast menu was buffet, with standards such as yogurt. There weren't any eggs, but there was cheese and ham.
The staff was wonderful and answered all questions and gave great advice for restaurants. They also arranged a taxi to sasari.
The only small disappointment was that there were no spa amenities included with the room. For example, in order to use a hot tub you had to rent it for an hour for 50 euros."
"One night stay with family. Second time I was at this hotel but have stayed at many other hotels in Alghero prior to this one. I would characterise this hotel as probably the best option in central Alghero for those who are budget conscious. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and big enough, quiet hotel at night. Those who have shallow sleep like me will appreciate the shutters, which are very effective to keep out the morning sunlight. There is a bit to walk to get to where the movida is (piazza sulis and beyond) but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Breakfast is where I see room for improvement: options are limited and the breakfast room is rather tiny. It works for one night stays but may negatively affect the hotel experience for those staying for longer."
