Lovely hotel just 15 minutes walk from Libourne centre. Over the bridge where the river boats stop. Lovely area, great place to stop. Dinner and breakfast very nice and good service. This area, Libourne, is stunning countryside.
We booked a twin room. On arrival they gave us a double. They said they couldn't accommodate us until the next day for the twin. When we pulled out of the lot for to run errands a large bus of girls on a soccer team checked in. We think they purposely oversold our room. Very moldy, which could easily be fixed by bleach. Pool is nice and grounds are lovely. Price is right. Dining staff is very friendly. Put off by mold and deceitful booking practice. Sad to say, our friend's recommendation of this hotel didn't pan out for us. Would not recommend.
The accommodation was adequate for 3 days in order to visit many of the surrounding wineries in the Bordeaux region including the fabulous St. Emilion. The food at the restaurant at the hotel was some of the best I have eaten in France. The hotel is plain but comfortable for a short time. It is not in the best location but I still would recommend it for those who are looking for a less expensive hotel in that region.
The hotel was clean, big outdoor space for to relax and enjoy nature. Swimming was very nice. Their restaurant serves delicious meals and the crews are friendly.
Husband and I again stayed at the Kyriad overnight when heading south to the Languedoc. There is a free open air car park with large secure gates that are closed at night. The rooms are small but clean and ours overlooked the small pool which although air temperature was 29 degrees was ice cold! We had the best meal we have ever eaten there. I don’t eat meat but had two courses for 19 euros - a lovely salad followed by sea bass. You can buy wine by the glass, carafe or bottle. It was quiet at night so we had a good sleep followed by a lovely buffet breakfast before leaving.
Friendly welcome and staff recognised us from a previous stay. Hotel spotlessly clean and the parking feels secure as the large gates are closed at night. There is a restaurant where you can eat inside or outside which has a very limited menu but it is open every evening - even Sunday. A one page newspaper is printed out daily and one is put on each table at breakfast. Unusually a kettle and limited drink making facilities plus a biscuit and a bottle of water is provided. There is now a small swimming pool which is lovely for cooling off after a hot journey. We use this hotel as a stop over each way when travelling to and from our destination in the Languedoc.
Clean hotel with friendly staff plus a gated car park. New small pool which is great for cooling off after a hot journey. Diner was disappointing with VERY limited menu and they were very unhelpful about catering for a vegetarian diet. Would not cook a simple omelette so ended up with a smallish goats cheese salad for main course. Meat eating husband struggled too and got the worst Caesar salad he had ever eaten! Such a shame as the food used to be good! Didn’t bother with breakfast!

Out of town
Average hotel but not actually in any town. It was not possible to walk anywhere and you had to drive to dinner etc.
Room very small but adequate.
Nice place, comfortable beds and good food!
Friendly staff and quiet location

Overnight stay on a long journey
The stay was let down by the restaurant. My wife ordered a "well done" steak., it arrived with blood running out of it. She sent it back for cooking. The photo shows a part of the steak AFTER it had been recooked.
Otherwise OK.
The WiFi connection was not working and BBC World Service - staff did the job they are paid to do - no more. We were charged local taxes that Expedia claimed were included. This was a stopover on a long journey for which it was adequate.
Good friendly welcome. Room comfortable, spacious with good bathroom facilities. Outside area with tables and benches as well as a pool. Play area for children. Restaurant had a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices, breakfast was good with a varied selection. Good stop over if going on to Bordeaux airport. Situated on the edge of an industrial area near the Dordogne.
We use this hotel for one night when travelling south and north from cross channel ferries to Languedoc. It breaks the journey and this route means that we avoid driving around Bordeaux. One bonus is the restaurant is open on SUNDAY evenings which many French restaurants aren't. The food is good and the wine reasonably priced. You can eat outside in hot weather if you choose. They have recently installed a small swimming pool which is great for cooling off after a hot day travelling. The rooms are clean and adequate and they even supply a kettle and hot drink makings. There is free parking with a gate that is closed at night but you and enter and exit with the code supplied. Staff are friendly and most speak English. There is a realaxed atmosphere without to many 'don'ts' as long as you do not annoy other residents.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have enjoyed our stay each time. Thought the room charge was a bit high for November. Restaurant was good and fairly priced

Not up to 3 star standard
The hotel was adequate but was certainly not special. It stands miles from Libourne and there is nothing like a bar or restaurant anywhere near. The food in the hotel restaurant leaves a lot to be desired - mostly micro=waved dishes reheated. Not recommended and we shall not be staying here again.

Our main reason was to visit St.Emilion as Libourne is adjacent to that historic wine town. The Kyriad is outside the town and could do with improved road signs to assist in finding it. It met our main reason but Libourne was a disappointment as it seems to be a town under re-construction as they've made nothing of a potentially beautiful river frontage, constant road works and a water feature? opposite the Lycee more of a water leak. A dead town but to re-iterate convenient for our main purpose

OK and expensive area
Near St Emillion and village . Hotel is little dated and rooms dark but good value for a night in an expensive area.
The room was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Very good value for money. You need to drive as the hotel is out of the way. But nevertheless it was great value for the price.
The Hotel is located across the bridge and away from the town of Libourne but is very well signposted. It is in an industrial area and quite a walk to the town so you do need transport. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist who answered our hesitant french in very good english. Our room was very comfortable with a great king-sized bed and the best, most powerful shower that we had all holiday. There is airconditioning in the room if required. It was a quiet room at the back of the Hotel overlooking the garden area. We did not use the restaurant for either dinner or breakfast but the menu looked interesting for both meals. we would stay here again if we were in the area because Libourne is very convenient for touring the St Emillion wine region.
Very comfortable, great value for money and reasonably friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent and the room adequate. Handily placed for visiting the area. Fairly small hotel (which is OK) and the rooms aren't huge, but then again you're not in your room for long - too many places to visit!!

Good food.
This is my second visit on account of pleasant previous experience last year. The room was comfortable and quiet and the food was very good. I will definitely return.
Excellent hotel which was as good as the reviews suggested (which is not always the case..)

Great location
Excellent location next to the river , great for exploring the dordogne region . The decor in the hotel is a bit tired but the quirkiness of the place makes up for it
The best night's sleep we've had so far. Comfortable clean room with superb bathroom facilities. Good food. Easy walk into Libourne. Would stay there again.

No air con working in room, was blowing hot air. Was a hot day. When asked staff if someone could have a look at it answer was it is all rooms, someone is coming out today (time was 2.30pm) and nothing they could do but will be on tonight. At dinner time was told it will be fixed before bedtime........Well we had to stay another night and needless to say no A/C working. Staff did not care it was hot.
Also had breakfast the first morning and as a tourist bus had just left there was no food. The staff member was quite annoyed when I asked for bread as there was none. People were coming in for breakfast and there was no food. Staff very very slow to refill. Disappointing.
I picked this hotel as I was in the area on business and it was within budget. The room was comfortable and fairly spacious. The restaurant and service was excellent with a really good choice of menu including specials. The free broadband was a bonus.
