Excellent B&B. The room is pristine and brimming with charm. Housed in a 130-year-old building, it exudes history and character. The owner is a kind, warm soul who starts each day with a heartwarming breakfast in a comfortable, inviting dining space. Has a lovely backyard too. Highly recommended!

Lovely host and home

Our host accommodated an early luggage drop off so we could visit Bordeaux without having to drag along our suitcases. Very friendly and helpful. Started our day with a tasty breakfast.

Very pleasant stay

This was,a,quick two night stay. Our host was incredible accommodating. The room was clean and well furnished. The bed could have been more comfortable for us, but that is always a personal preference. Breakfast was very nice both mornings. Valarie provided very helpful guidance on getting around town and things to see and do.

Quiet & convenient … Park your car and walk or take the tram (safe/convenient) … Valérie is a warm and welcoming host with very good English. Her suggestions were excellent! Comfortable bed, separate water closet, shower had plenty of hot water and a strong spray. The bed and pillows were fabulous. OH … and the breakfast was delicious too. You’ll enjoy making friends with Toffee if you’re missing your fur kid🥰⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Valérie die Gastgeberin ist fantastisch. Die zwei Zimmer sind liebevoll und sehr individuell eingerichtet. Die Tipps, die wir von unserer Gastgeberin erhalten haben, waren sehr hilfreich.Das gemeinsame Frühstück mit ihr in ihrem Wohnzimmer, typisch französisch,war ein Highlight. Tolle französische Köstlichkeiten und dazu interessante Gespräche. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt und kommen auch gerne wieder.

Charming, if a little inconvenient

This B & B is a bit of a gem with caring owners and a flair for detail. The breakfast is especially great, everything high quality and served outside in a pretty garden. The two guest rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. If you are looking for the unusual, and you don't favor convenience it might be perfect. However, it is not a hotel, as I was told by the owner, therefore you may miss the following: air conditioning, daily housekeeping, a central location, shops. restaurants/bars nearby. The walk to the nearest tram is 10 minutes according to Google, not 6 as the site states and it's a dreary walk. Nothing to see. I also had an issue with the towels, as the owner is concerned about energy use and line dries them after machine washing so they are like sandpaper on your skin. However, if none of this matters to you, you'll probably love it. This place is not a brand, like so many chains out there. Therefore you can see that everything has been hand selected by an owner with exceptional French taste. I chose to stay here because of the great reviews. But nobody mentioned some of the things as I am and I wish they had. Obviously the previous guests liked the unusual ambience of the place, and why not? In a cookie cutter world little spots like this are a rare find. Especially if you can live without daily conveniences.

Blue Lodge gets an A plus!

Was greeted by the owner when I arrived. She explained details of my stay and was most Gracious in answering my questions and concerns. My room was very clean and comfortable. She Asked me what time I wanted breakfast which was amazingly delicious. Great coffee. And, scheduled My taxi for my departure. I’ll highly recommend the Blue Lodge.

Muy buena estadía en Bordeaux

Fue muy agradable nuestra estadía. Es una casa de una familia que tiene 2 habitaciones para arrendar.La dueña de casa es muy amable y preocupada de todos los detalles, nos hizo muchas recomendaciones muy buenas de lugares para visitar en Bordeaux y como usar el tranvía. El desayuno muy bueno y la conversación con la anfitriona también. La habitación muy amplia y cómoda, nos sentimos muy cómodos. La ubicación es muy buena y nos movimos en el tranvía dentro de la ciudad. Lo recomiendo 100%.

This beautiful and tastefully decorated b & b was an excellent place to stay. In a quiet area just a 20 minute walk into the centre with secure parking close by. The breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and tasty homemade sweets. The hostess made us feel very welcome and was so informative about the area. Would definitely recommend.

Wunderbar renoviertes Zimmer in einem alten, traditionellen Stadthaus. Sehr gute, ruhige Lage. Innenstadt zu Fuß oder von nahe gelegener Tram-Station zu erreichen. Sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeberin, mit reichlich Empfehlungen und Tipps, für die Sightseeing o.ä. in der Stadt. Parkmöglichkeit ebenso vorhanden.
